TIPTOP Hotel Burgschmiet Garni

It is a wonderful place to stay if visiting Nurenberg. It's worth every cent. Location, staff, room size and comfort, clealines, quiet, the breakfast. I hope I didn't miss something that must be praised.

We had quite unusually warm weather, for Germany theouout our trip. The lack of ac, was balanced with a table top ventilator, open windows and the shatters, when the sun was in our side. They saw the drawback and had come-up with a workaround.

The hotel's location is perfect. It is in a pleasant, quiet residential neighborhood, a 5-minute walk from Tiergartnertor, the liveliest part of the city where locals gather, the Albrecht Dürer House, and just a minute more to the castle. The main shopping streets in the old town are a 10-minute walk away and the main train station is 20 minutes away on foot. There is a tram stop 200 meters from the hotel with a direct connection to the Documentation Center. The first grocery store is 5 minutes away (on foot). The room and bathroom are large, comfortable and clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. The receptionist gave us useful information about everything we were interested in. Next time I’m in Nurenberg, I’ll definitely stay here again.

Very nice size rooms with good amenities. Ideal location.

Tiny lobby leads to surprisingly lovely rooms. Could have used a coffeemaker in the room. Otherwise, just great.
