NH Collection Madrid Abascal

Stayed here for a couple night layover on my honeymoon. Staff was awesome, gave us a small complimentary package and were incredibly welcoming. Very happy with our stay and the facilities in general.

The A/C in the rooms isn't very strong. It's still more than sufficient, but was the only thing that wasn't a great at the hotel.

Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. Staff very polite and helpful.

No drawers/storage for smaller items such as underwear/tshirts, etc. Kettle/tea/coffee making facility above eye level and difficult to access safely.

Comfortable bed.

Noisy. The road outside is busy day and night, and the windows do not block out the sound sufficiently. The room was in average condition. The air con unit and fridge are noisy. There were no staff attending the bar in the courtyard, and the main lounge bar had no staff on the occasion we went there (as there were no staff in the courtyard). Not good enough. We’ve stayed in plenty of NH Hotels. They are usually of a good standard. This hotel is lovely but the 4 night stay was disappointing.
