Colonna Country Club

The room was fine though I thought the small room with the fridge was odd. Breakfast was good. There was a good choice of various breakfast offerings to suit different tastes. I didn't find the staff over friendly but they were efficient so maybe that's just a thing here. I thought Mario on the bar was very good as were the girls on reception. The gardens were beautiful and the plants and butterflies were a fabulous bonus. It was also fantastic to get a lovely pool virtually to ourselves and loungers which were not crowded. The pool guy was terrific - very attentive and proactive. The setting overall was beautiful - very picturesque with many beautiful beaches and restaurants in the area.

For me the bed was too hard and the pillows too flat so I never really got a good night's sleep. I felt the menu was lacking too with very basic 'snack food' in the day and not much of a choice for an evening meal.

Very dated and dark rooms, needs updating, the women on reception not helpful at all, there was no checking in process, literally just had my keys handed to me, no explanation about the hotel, the breakfast very bland.
