We were thrilled to make last minute reservations (we literally arrived 5 minutes later) and discover a very comfortable room and with a very lovely dining room still open (we arrived late in the evening as well) for us to enjoy. We were so satisfied that we stayed another night, albeit in another room, this one with a balcony and a lake view! No better place to watch a rainstorm that evening the likes of which I've never seen before.

Excellent location with stunning views. Room was spacious.
Beds were very soft. Staff seemed a little indifferent on check in eg not telling us the way to go to the room until we went the wrong way.

The wellness spa was very good but I didn't realise guests had to book in and pay an additional cost.
Breakfast was nice and there was a good choice available.
There was a very friendly helpful waitress.
The family room was pleasant (and enormous).
The pictures are misleading. I was expecting beautiful views of the lake but I didn't see the lake from the hotel at all. There is a dilapidated building in front of the hotel and mesh on the dining room balcony both of which obscure the view.
I was surprised that guests do not automatically get to use the wellness centre for free. It is not cheap! But it is very nice and worth a visit.
Some of the reception staff were a little cold and standoffish.
The hotel is an odd layout inside. There are a mixture of offices and rooms on the ground floor and the dining area upstairs and the wellness centre tucked away down a corridor and a separate lift. Its like a maze and easy to get lost.
