Hôtel l'Amphithéâtre

The hotel is charming, the location is great, right next to the arena. Super clean and well interior designed. Olivier, the manager was extremely welcoming and kind, also full of delicate attentions. We will be back!

Really close to the Roman amphitheater of Nîmes. It was really convenient to get back to my room after an evening concert that ended at midnight. I only saw one employee, and he was very friendly and the service was great.

Not much to say here. I guess the only issue would be staying there while there's a concert in the amphitheater and you're trying to sleep. Fortunately, that wasn't the case for me, and the room was pretty quiet. If I can be nitpicky, I wish there were more electrical outlets near the bed, so I could plug in my phone charger without unplugging the lamp.

Amazing property, right beside the amphitheatre and looking out onto a beautiful square.

This property is ok only if your priority is to stay in an extra-touristy area close to the Arena and main attractions. However, if you care about your stay and are looking for a pleasant hotel, this is not it. I booked it due to at all the good reviews it has, but was negatively surprised when I got there.

The room and bathroom are very run down and are not kept clean. The bed has a plastic sheet underneath the bedsheets which makes it so that it sticks to you during the night and feels sweaty. The hotel itself smells moldy and the cleaning level is just not up to standard. I would not stay again, not even for its affordable price. This is unfortunate as the young man at the reception was lovely and very helpful.
