Hotel du Pré

Charming. Classic Paris boutique hotel. Very affordable and convenient to the metro and walkable to lots of popular Paris tourist sites.

The property was great.

My experience at Hotel du Pré was very pleasant. The location is excellent; it is very easy to use the metro and buses, and we were also able to do a lot of sightseeing on foot (it is about a 25-minute walk to the Louvre, etc.). The room is spacious and charming, with a classic/vintage decor, but it still features modern amenities like plenty of power outlets and even USB ports. The only downside was the double bed, which was actually two single beds pushed together; ideally, they should have set it up properly as a double bed. The bathroom is good, though the shower screen on the bathtub is a bit small, so the floor gets a little wet, but it is nothing serious. However, the toiletries could be improved; there was only a 3-in-1 product (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash), which I found below expectations for a hotel that met all other requirements so well. Overall, it was a great stay, and I highly recommend it!

As for breakfast, we missed having eggs. That being said, the baguettes and croissants were very good, and they also offered cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, etc.

Baggage storage before we checked in! Great for the price. Very nice bathroom. Huge windows!

Great location. Few steps away from a metro stop and a pleasant 20 minute walk to Opera.

The room overall is tiny. Was also a bit of a struggle to bathe because the walk-in shower was small. Not enough closet space too.
