Hilton Northampton Hotel

Large, clean comfortable room (including bathroom). Friendly staff, good breakfast choice. Plenty of parking (although chargeable) with EV chargers, which was a nice bonus.

Room didn't have air conditioning but did have a fan provided. Absolutely no storage space for anything that couldn't hang up in the wardrobe, which would have been annoying had we been staying for more than 2 nights. Hotel location isn't great - it seems to have had a major road network built around it so nothing is really within walking distance.

The scenery was tranquil. However the lobby presented grandeur However lacked it... worn out.

Reception always lacked staff and had to wait for someone to come to ask for towel also the complimentary water station was alway empty and having to tell Reception to refill. The room itself was OK However very worn especially bathroom with chip tiles all around which was not expected for a Hilton. For Hilton the teas and coffee station in room was less then what you get at Premier Inn (fully booked due to Reggae Land Festival 2026), which is normally our go too hotel for family stays and comfy sleep including the extra bed in family room, however the sofa bed provided by Hilton for family room was the most uncomfortable sleep our children have ever experienced and instead of waking up refreshed for Reggae Land there were tired which defeated the whole purpose of back the Hilton. We asked for housing keeping throughout the 3 night stay only beds and bin done no Hoover as lots of bits on floor. So the fact that it was nearly £1000 was expecting a lot more especially for a Hilton but get much more and more attentive staff in Budget hotels such as Premier Inn. Also at Premier Inn you have lighting control, you can turn off main lights and have various other light but Not one switch control. Very disappointed with this stay and will not be booking this hotel again.
