I don't think people working there understand that we are coming to this place for HOLIDAY. Holiday means no noise and allowing guests to rest.
This is an open space villa with no carpets on the staircase and in common areas. This means that anything that is said or done downstairs, in the open space, is hearable in the rooms. That also means that all the food smells travel up to your room, and then it stinks of egg and bacon.
Staff wakes you up at 7:20 am, as they start setting up for breakfast. Food is not on the side or in a dining room but directly in the corridor underneath the rooms. After noisy breakfast, housekeepers start to be even more noisy, servicing, hoovering other rooms, and constantly talking. After they finish 12-14, you hear the other guests through the walls: taking a piss, talking, watching TV.
What is the point of staying in a place like this if you can't even sleep in the morning? And you hear everything at night, people returning from parties, smoking outside, eating dinner.
They should pay me back for wasting my holiday!
