Loved the big, clean ocean facing room and huge solarium with patio furniture. The big windows worked and I was able to sun myself in January! Beds were clean and comfy and bathroom and shower were fantastic, lots of hot water and great pressure. Fridge was a little dated but I turned it up and then it worked fine. I was able to get English movies on the flat screen. The food at the Casa Branca restaurant was great though I would like to see the lights lowered somewhat for evening dining. Would love to see the back entrance and also the Champagne Club refurbished/reopened -- it looks like it was quite the spot back in the day!
The pool area downstairs looked a bit dated and forlorn, there was no jacuzzi and the saunas were dark. I brought my swimsuit but didn't really feel like getting in. However, the hotel being right on the beach and being able to walk for what seemed like miles in either direction was a huge bonus. There's also a great supermarket nearby and lots of cafes on the boardwalk. It was not nearly as isolated as the booking.com review made it out to be - lots of families out walking and eating and playing and enjoying the weather. Overall I would return and would recommend to my friends.

I have stayed here before. Although bedrooms are dated, the location is excellent and the reception staff couldn’t be more helpful. Rates are remarkably lower.

The location is amazing if you are looking for Sun, beach, sunsets and the ocean. it is a bit far from the city center, but that’s ok. the hotel staff is young and super friendly.
facilities have seen better days. the Turkish Spa is not working, and everything needs a bit more care and love. it’s still OK, but you can feel the old glory days are over.
