Pestana Vintage Porto Hotel & World Heritage Site

There is so much to like about this hotel. Great location, right on the waterfront in Porto. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, breakfast buffet was full of all the delicious things you like and a nice bounus of bubble or port wine and great local cheese. Once you orientate yourself to the layout, the hotel is a number of old houses joined to make one hotel you will apprciate staying here is a great experience.

It's not that I didn't like it, it's just the hotel is located in a area where you cannot pull up and park your car. You have to stop at the top of the street and call the hotel to help you with your luggage. On a busy afternoon finding a spot to pull up can be challenging and in our case the phone went unanswered on our arrival, but with four of us we were able to manage bringing our luggage down the hill. When we departed the hotel staff were wonderful and helped with all our things and extra items we purched during our stay.

Shower over the bath was a hazard, we were told rooms had been renovated but a walk in shower would have been much better particularly with the cost of the room at over 500 euros per night. Very poor customer service in Vintology, the wine bar.
