My room on the top floor has a fantastic view of the mountains. I asked for a mountain view not realising I'd be on the 3rd floor with 6 flights of stairs to climb, and my reason for staying was due to me running the half marathon!
The room was beautiful, the bed was amazing, I slept through didn't wake up once. The TV has a great selection to watch if you're staying in. Or you can sit in the guest lounge which is very comfortable. There's an honesty bar to buy drinks and snacks from.
I'm a vegan and often have to make do with a vegetarian breakfast minus the egg and black coffee. Here they actually had almond milk.
The dining room looks out over the promenade and you can sit in the window watching the waves abd the world go by.
David the manager was really friendly as was Tom who cooked the breakfast. I was made very welcome, it was almost like being at home.
I can't recommend this beautiful guest house enough and I will definitely be staying here again.

The location was ideal on the front and an old style BnB that has a homely feel.
Friendly hosts and a clean modern place with an old school look.
The single bed, headboard could do with a tighten up as it was bangin against the wall.

David and Claire were really accommodating and when we found we'd booked a room on the top floor, they happily changed our room so my elderly mum didn't have to walk up three flights of stairs. They are very friendly and engage with their guests.
Details on booking.com not very clear about the room details, so if you want to stay at the Promenad, call the owners directly

Frontage didn’t give a good impression - scruffy plastic flowers, grubby table and chairs, seagull poo on entrance steps.
I found the public rooms and our room (no.5) rather gloomy - dark decor throughout.
Steep stairs.
Our twin room was quite small - it was quite a squeeze to get round the beds to access the window and bathroom (and we are average size people). Not much room for luggage.
We didn’t have breakfast but it was only served for a short time.
