Our stay was perfect, we selpt lovely.ate in the ship both nights ..lovely atmosphere
Breakfast was perfect in every way and location was too
The only thing I didn’t like was the confusion about our dog , as I spoke to 3 different people and they said yes the dog was fine in the room that I wanted to book .. I was happy with the room but had to pay an additional cost wish I’d already paid extra for a better room .. but hey ho

Adequate for a short stay
The breakfast was excellent
The bathroom needed a proper clean as there was mildew on the grout. The room and stair area would benefit from redecoration as the wood chip is rather outdated.

Trading on location - rooms in building next door well below standard
Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast good.
Our rooms were in poor condition, lots of marks on walls, skirting boards etc. curtain pole rusty and in general the room was grubby and in desperate need of redecoration and refresh. Breakfast, which was very tasty, was advertised as available until 11am when in fact it finished at 9:30am, early by any hotel/Inn standards. We paid £165 per night way too much given the standard of our room which was in the separate building next to the Inn. Someone else in our party had a room in the main building which they seemed happy with so maybe the separate building rooms are the issue?!

Lovely stay , Mousehole is stunning, wonderful location
Fantastic location in the village, rooms were comfortable and had all that you need, lovely toiletries. We had a room with partial view of the harbour. The pub staff were very friendly and helpful. Didn’t eat at the pub in the evening but the breakfast was delicious , would definitely stay again
The only thing I would change was the shower , it needs an update , mould on the tiles, but everything else was lovely

Friendly staff, good food, good atmosphere
Moved us to ground floor room as one of us would have struggled with stairs. Food was very good both dinner and breakfast. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere in the bar.

Disappointing
Location was convenient, bed was comfortable
We could not get a cooked breakfast the first morning because the chef didn't show up for work. The other breakfast food was adequate but we still had to pay for another breakfast elsewhere. The worst thing was being refused service after we returned from the Minack Theatre at 10:10pm that evening. The girl was very dismissive and ignored our appeals to reconsider. Given that my credit card details were with the pub, it makes no sense whatsoever for staying guests to be refused service. Closing the bar so early is stupid. The lady we spoke to the next morning dealt with us very well,, refunded £30 for the breakfast and said she would have a word with the girl. One final note: we spent £50 on drinks at the Old Coastguard and stayed until 12:30am and enjoyed every minute.

Overpriced for this type of pub stay.

We found generally that Cornwall is very pricy. It's charging London prices without the service.
Breakfast staff were very pleasant and the food was good quality and well presented.
The room was small but nicely furnished and clean with good quality toiletries.
Location on the harbour is fab.
The pub was closing early - just after 10pm,as we arrived back from The Minack . We were told the till was closed but there was no offer of drinks to take to our room even though we were resident.

Really lovely place. We stayed in room 3 (Mouse Hole) for two nights Friday to Sunday. Beautiful room and ensuite shower; very clean and had everything we needed. The harbour view window was our favourite feature!
The only issue we had was the sash window wouldn't stay open (gradually closed and didn't stay put), therefore we had to keep the fan on all night as it was very warm weather.
Considering our room was right above the front door of a busy pub, noise was minimal, slept really well. Good breakfast included in the stay.
Will look forward to returning again!
Lack of available parking (we bought a £10 day ticket for the nearby carpark, however when returning from our short journey elsewhere there were no spaces left)

Superb some minor niggles for feedback but well worth it, thanks for looking after me xx
Location excellent, staff super helpful and friendly, food outstanding and locals really helpful and chatty. I would highly recommend coming here to stay - it was a really authentic experience and Mousehole is a beautiful place to explore along with the local towns and beaches along the south coast
Appreciate with a single room it will be small, it was very small - comfy though! Struggled to get the tv chrome cast to work although followed all the instructions which was frustrating. Only one small reading light in the room working (not main one) which was reported but not fixed during my 2 night stay.

Lovely place to stay with excellent views and food.
Lovely place to stay right on the port. Staff were very friendly. Room was good. Food was amazing. Best fish and chips we have ever had. Words do not do it justice. Good value. Lovely atmosphere in the pub. Easy to walk to beach, deli and great walks.
Coffee machine had not been cleaned. Full of water in overflow plus used coffee pods still in the machine. Shower gel bottle was empty. Very large bathroom however, the shower head had no power (the shower head was small). Water trickled out. One night had very noisy neighbours. Slamming doors and talking at the top of their voices. First morning of a two night stay, no cooked breakfast, which was included in the price, as the chef had called in sick.

King of the harbour
Superb location, right in the middle of the small harbour. Great sights from the sea facing rooms - but not all rooms. Helpful staff and fair sized rooms.
The parking is not sorted out and there is no assistance offered on managing it. We did find a few hundred meters, but we were lucky. Carrying bags all the way on a hot day is not much fun. Stopping over to unload is difficult too, as it blocks the traffic. The breakfast was served very slow in the morning , apparently there were some issues with the over. The lady on charge tried to solve it, but she was on her own. At least she managed the crisis with a smile - but it almost made us miss a pre-booked ticket slot at Minack Theatre.

Staff, location and breakfast good but dirty hallway & stairs & barely functioning bathroom
The room was small but clean. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating.
It was very expensive for what you got. The hallway up to the room had very old, dirty carpet and smelled like mildew. The room was small. The bathroom sink drained very slowly and the faucet was very hard to turn.

Great stay in an excellent 'real English pub'. Fantastic and we will be back.
Parking is a problem but that's Mousehole and adds to the charm.

Lovely pub but room needed some attention.
Great location in centre of Mousehole - fabulous views. Food in the pub was very good & staff were friendly.
Room was very small & bathroom had an issue resulting in a strong drain smell all of the time.

Clean rooms and nice staff in a practical, but very public location. Could use some slight renovation.
Very clean. Nice and accommodating staff. Very central location. Good breakfast.
Some rooms have windows directly at eye level to the street, can be a little noisy at night. Some of the lights didnt work in the room.

loved my stay at the ship inn
Location amazing , room 10 has a lovely view, Breakfast food was the best, shout out for the woman serving , so warm /professional / friendly without being intrusive , a real skill, , all staff professional and welcoming
first thing on entering the room was a stained carpet and marks on walls , smell of dogs ,
Limited menu choice would have loved more fresh fish and at least one pasta dish, Bar area/seating ,windows could do with a good clean daily , wine by the glass very little choice

Enchanting stay
Mousehole is a lovely little gem on the Cornish coast and the Ship Inn is right at the heart of it. I want to especially thank Lisa who upgraded our room in order for my very tall husband to be able to be more comfortable. The room was not just an upgrade but the best in the place. It really made our stay enchanting. Thank you
It was unfortunate that the first morning there was no cooked breakfast because the chef called in last minute. I am GF so the options were barely any and I had to nip out to buy something.

Great Welcome but venue needs work!
Friendliness of staff, location were excellent
Room was very small, decor was tired and lack of a bedside light was disappointing. Restaurant was very tired, tables and chairs were mismatched, old and frankly “sticky”. Price was nearer 5 star then the 2 star experience so very poor value for money. We tried to contact the Ship prior to our visit but received no response.

Room not worth price, needs maintenance & deep cleaning. But staff were friendly & good location.
good location, friendly staff.
The room was in a separate but adjacent building to the Inn. The room was very small and on the ground floor - not ideal for a woman travelling on her own,. The room was stuffy, but because it was on the ground floor with the sash window opening right out onto the street, it wasn't possible to air out the room except while in the room although not while asleep as anyone could have easily accessed the room. The overall condition of the room - particularly in relation to the price of the room - was one of the worst I have stayed in. Let's start with the windows: the blind was broken and unusable meaning there was no way to screen the room from passers by. The only option was to draw the curtains which were shabby and had holes in them (looked like they were from cigarettes). The main window pane was the only one that would open, the other two had been painted shut. The carpet was discoloured and grimy. There has been no effort to run a carpet cleaner over this carpet, and should really be totally replaced. The one chair provided in the room was scuffed and uncomfortable. The wardrobe had no door, and generally the condition of it was poor with scuff marks and dirty marks on the base.
I had to turn off the coffee machine at the socket because it kept clicking on and off and it felt like it was unsafe to be switched on. The wall beside the coffee machine was dirty with coffee drip marks down the walls that hadn't been cleaned.
The general cleanliness of the room was very poor indeed - dusty skirting boards and a lack of attention to detail to cleaning. However, the bedlinen and towels were clean. Both in the bedroom and the bathroom paint was peeling off the ceiling and hadn't been fixed. In the bathroom, particularly, as the bathroom fan did not appear to be working and was furred up, it meant there was also a mold problem around the shower tray in particular. This should be cleaned and repaired regularly. Finally, the alarm went off in the night.
