Pleasant stay and yes we would stay again

Was nice and warm, bed was reasonably comfy. Good location for our needs and was very quiet.

Not enough milks, coffees etc for a 2 night stay as wasn’t topped up after the first night. Some of the decor is tired and dated but can’t expect 5 star for £47.50 a night for 2 people

Do not stop here. Dirtiest place I’ve ever stopped. Never written a bad review until today.

It has the potential to be a good solid hotel.

Just to put this into perspective, this is the first ever negative review I’ve ever written and I’m 43. They hadn’t cleaned our room prior to arrival. They said that they had but there was poo on the toilet seat, the bedding had crumbs in it and the towels were wet in the middle from the previous occupants. The receptionist who is part of the family who owns it, came and changed the bedding and cleaned the toilet. This would have been the end of it for me I wouldn’t have bothered writing such a bad review if she hadn’t just tumble dried the same towels and then put them on our beds. We knew they were the same ones because there were the same stains in the same places.

Clean comfortable room sealant around bathroom needs attention but other than that was very comfortable

Decent hotel, friendly staff and not too far from the train station

it was a great location and cheap - easy commute to reach Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Yje room was in an annexe behind the building depicted and the walls of the room were very thin

Cheap family run hotel. Ideal for contractors working away from home.

The staff were very friendly. Excellent well lit parking.

The water pressure in my bathroom was very low which resulted in me not being able to take a shower without holding the shower head to direct the water at close range. Fortunately The bathroom was shower over bath so i had a long soak every day. The other niggles were that the bathroom sink had no plug and there were only 3 clothes hangers in the wardrobe one of which was broken and one was a hand maid affair ?

Rotherham Hotel

The room is in the annex around the back so it is fairly quiet on a night. Car parking is also around the back. Good sized room.

The shower is lacking in power and you have to hold the shower head over the parts of yourself that need rinsing.

Cheap & cheerful

Nice friendly chap met us at reception. You don’t actually stay in the hotel main building but in an annexe round the back. It was exceptionally hot when we arrived but the chap brought us a fan round straight away and more milk sachets. Great location, 10 mins walk into town.

So noisy at 7.30am the following morning! People walking around in the apartment above, sounded like they had lead boots on. Floors were so creaky. No coat hangers but luckily we brought a couple.

Clean and Comfortable, but need bigger towels.

The room was warm, clean and comfortable. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The TV was a good size and was clear. Curtains were good quality and kept the light out. The area was very quiet and I slept like a baby.

The bath took ages to run as the water trickled out. Towels were too small. No proper bath towel provided.

location is quiet and near enough to Rotherham centre. Good bus service outside and local Tesco shop for food

Bed was quite hard to sleep on . Preferred a softer mattress. Also a bigger chair to sit on rather than desk chair. Good bathroom and toilet.Heating came on several times a day and the room was comfortable and warm enough for a spring season. Would have been nice to have a Microwave to heat food or soup etc, as no local takeaways or restaurants nearby

Bad

We never stayed upon turning up it was explained we weren't in the hotel but in the annex at the back no bar in hotel was told bars were in Rotherham centre. Upon driving round the back to said annex we were met with many rubbish bags pilled up looking unsightly to say the least we got as far as going into the room the bed was as hard as a brick the room was very dated and unwelcoming we immediately left and booked elsewhere very disappointed

our room was double booked so we did not stay at the hotel, they arranged for us to stay at a ‘partner’ hotel which was really a half way house.

Very poor attitude of staff bordering on off handed and rude. Also did nt expect to be text 10 minutes before check in and asked for cash.. this is a hotel that used to function as a hotel the people who own it now use it more like a H M O.. A pity how standard have fallen.
