Looks beautiful from outside, easy parking, beautiful reception/small bar area (main bar was being refurbished whilst we stayed but this didn’t impact us at all).
Lovely decor, clean and fresh throughout.
Oat milk and vegan spread available for breakfast which was ace.
For a suite I would expect a super king bed (we have one at home so always seems a let down when we go back to a king).
The bathroom was lovey and clean and the shower was great…. If you want to wash your hair each time, there was no option to have a hand held shower and avoid getting hair wet!!
Also extractor fan was not effective so everything was soaked in the bathroom after each shower.
Vegan breakfast was not even considered on the menu, was offered another courgette (same single option for evening meal), server was lovely but couldn’t answer most questions so kept having to go and check (didn’t feel luxury). Bread was thin, and seemed your normal packet bread rather than anything luxury….mine went wet and sloppy under the poached egg.

The bathroom was nice
The room had a smell on arrival. The room was cold. I was expecting luxury but apart from the bathroom I can say it was

Breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly, our room was clean, we had coffee, tea and the kettle in the room. If you are planning to visit Devil's Bridge this localisation is very convenient. Very nice sitting area and hotel by itself well mended.
Our room was quite small for the prise we paid. We booked a superior room.
We were a bit disappointed that they didn't show any recognition of Valentine's Day, as lots of hotels do ( I know that isn't a must, for the hotel owner, but maybe a rose/petals, something simple, cheap but it makes a wow effect.
It was cold in our room, when we put the temperature up, on the radiator, after an hour it automatically came down to 18.5.
The duvet was very heavy ( I know it sounds silly but it wasn't comfortable).
Our dinner was quite expensive and it wasn't very tasty. The place where we were sat for dinner was cold, too.
Car park was dark, uneven and we were afraid that it isn't safe as it is not next to hotel.

Staff were great, Room was clean and comfy bed. Good menu selection for dinner
Room was cold on first night, probably due to window wide open on arrival, thought breakfast was expensive

Lovely friendly staff. Beautiful location and a characterful building.
Room a bit too small, no wardrobe/cupboard. Shower room awkwardly fitted with square basin and dripping shower head.

The hotel is lovely, really clean , the food and breakfast were both very good quality produce and taste amazing! Really nice place
The staff were a bit off 🫤 not sure about things and too busy all in the reception room watching a tv I think 🙁 ? Not sure something very interesting tho as I stood there waiting!! And the room well loved it view was great but far too hot and the quilt was heavy we where dying in the night having to open the windows , oh no fridge or water which was unusual for a suit apart from that great hotel

The surrounding areas
Staff stole my credit card details. They tried to make a payment using my card whilst I was in another country. Denied it, even though I showed them proof. They demanded money they said I didn't owe at time of staying. All responses from them were poorly written chat gpt responses. Do not stay here

The whole hotel was very sympathetic the the original building with beautiful features. Lovely lounge area and open fireplace . The room we had was stunning with a really cute touch of leaving a toy Welsh sheep for us to take on our adventures and photograph it at our destinations! The bathroom was amazing with truly the best waterfall shower we have ever used. The cleaner/chambermaid Christine was so friendly and helpful, a credit to your team. Wonderfully experience all round, thank you so much.
We only booked for one night🙈 wish it was longer

Super clean and a wonderfully comfy bed! Room was lovely and staff very welcoming
Restaurant/Bar area lacked atmosphere and looked a bit shabby. When ordering they are out of most dishes and when I finally managed to find a dish on the menu that was available I was told that they had no rice, no jacket potatoes not new potatoes just chips. No atmosphere in bar … very disappointing

Lovely room, biggest bath I've ever seen! Friendly staff.
Had a suite and had views of the waterfalls all be it far away, comfortable bed, supplied with various tea/coffee and hot chocolate in room! Sitting in the room and hearing the waterfalls is very relaxing!
Breakfast area and guest dining area was very nicely spaced out with an excellent selection of fresh fruit for breakfast, nothing seemed liked tinned, better breakfast menu than expected too with choice of juices!
Good outside seating if the weather permits overlooking the waterfalls
Car park up a short but steep road, plenty of space but not nice walking to and from in the dark, would of liked the opportunity to charge the car at the hotel and ideally a path from the car park to the side/rear of the hotel if it was at all possible.
Control panel on the radiator is insanely bright when sleeping, lucky you can turn the brightness right down so it's not illuminated at all but I feel guests shouldn't really be playing with these settings either.

Great staff, so friendly. Lovely rooms (we tried several). Food very nice, especially Sunday dinner which was exceptional. Overall, loved the hotel and the people and the rooms very nicely done
Not much - only criticism if that's even the right word is that the room heating not overly easy to use and figure out

Excellent location, was worried about traffic noise as it’s sitting on a road but no sound disruptions at all.
The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.
The food was fantastic as well as the double room that we had. Very clean and decorated well especially the bathroom.

Lovely location with stunning views. Nice outdoor seating area. Room was clean and comfortable with toiletries and lovely soft ample size towels. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit available daily. Although evening meal was included in our room charge there are some items for which you pay extra. Food was generally good. As there was no lift I requested 1st floor.
Service was at times slow. In the outdoor area we observed meals being brought out on several occasions but with no cutlery although this did not happen when we had food outside. Car park is up a very steep hill so beware if you have mobility issues, also no lift could be an issue for some.

Lovely place we’ve been for food before and thought we’d enjoy stay. The room and aesthetic of the place is beautiful
Staff were a bit slow.
The dinner room for guests felt a bit lifeless (although the dinner was great!)
Breakfast was poor - waiting about 40 minutes and it just wasn’t good , also get rid of that lava bread ew!!!

The room was very nice & comfortable, and the bathroom clean with a fab shower but the world's smallest sink!
Dinner was OK, though we ate in the dining room which was practically empty - it had not been made clear that we could just have stayed on the patio and chosen to have food there from the exact same menu.
The view out of our 2nd floor bedroom window was great.
We skipped breakfast - at nearly £20 per person we felt this was a little steep for what we required.
The room was very hot - added to this a winter duvet on the bed, despite the hot weather! A fan or AC would be an idea!
Though we liked the room, as we had the window open (no AC and it was v warm) the road noise outside did wake us up very early.
Trying to check out was a lenghtier procedure than we would have hoped - no staff around to pay for our dinner - the waitress' ipad had not been working the night before so we couldn't pay then.

Staff were helpful as we were late in due to traffic and made sure we were looked after in the restaurant even after last food orders time - dinner was great.
Breakfast choices were brilliant although the earliest we could eat was 8am
Room was comfy and clean
Earlier breakfast option would have been great

Great staff, amazing location, good food & attentive service.
Served milk with a cup of tea in a badly cracked jug. Price of a lime & soda was expensive at £3.00.

Lovely character to the hotel, well appointed room with good quality furnishings.
Bathroom was very clean and plenty of towels and toiletries.
We only used the restaurant on the 1st night, the food was of a high standard and we both enjoyed the meal but were ‘told off’ by a member of staff who admonished us for going to the bar to look what was available, directing us back to our seat before coming over to take our order.
Lack of lift…no mention of needing to climb 3 sets of stairs prior to arrival, had we been less fit this would have caused a problem.
Booking in process. There was nobody on reception then when a member of staff arrived they were flustered, took a phone call whilst we waited then left reception leaving us standing there.
When asking to charge our restaurant bill to our room, we were questioned as to what type of booking we had and when we replied ‘Room Only’ were told we needed to settle bill there and then in a way that made us feel we might disappear without paying 🤣

Quaint room, with good facilities and lovely bathroom. 2 young men were helpful in taking our things up and down to the room.
We , as well as others, had to wait a long time at the desk each time (it was a busy time of the year). The car park was a way away from the hotel and pitch black at night. We were on the 3rd floor and there was no lift (problems of being a listed building). The floor of the shower was extremely slippery, with no mat or grab rales (quite a hazard).
