You get what you pay for.

Location is good, near shops, metro train station for access to airport and city centre. Many food establishments nearby.

Toilets and shower sharing is not very good. The self cleaning pods are aged and not very good. Also a few rooms had young men running around the corridors shouting and laughing and settling the smoke alarm off which affects all rooms. This was reported but only women staff were present and failed to act on this behaviour. The room was cold when we arrived, no pre heating.

Location to Airport Sofa in enterence It was cheap but expected a higher standard.

Bleeping of smoke detector outside room all night. Dirty showers. Noise of other guests at 2.45am Guest next door smoking cannabis Surfaces above heaters had melted Rooms either v hot or very cold Draft and noise from traffic through windows Air lock in toilet pipes so everytime somebody flushed a toilet it woke us up.

Not clean at all. Nothing like what was advertised.

It was filthy. Awful smell in the bedrooms. The bed had a stain on it and the security lock on the window was broken, not to mention it was freezing in there!

The possibility there may have been bed bugs that weren’t spotted in the room I’ve stayed in, as I’ve came out in rashes and have spots that look to be bed bug bites

Good for a short stay

Have stayed here previously, and there are some things that I liked better the second time around as well as making use of the facilities I hadn't used before. The mattress was a lot nicer to lie on, room was warm upon entering, and it was easy to locate with the toilets and showers nearby. I tried the shower and was pleasantly surprised with the pressure and the quick change in temperature.

My only complaints would be that my sink wasn't the cleanest - last time I found some type of chicken in and this time it looked more like a piece of cabbage(?) so some special attention to the drain plugs would be good. Not necessarily a complaint, but the tuck shop is cash only and the breakroom for tea and coffee, as there isn't a kettle in the room, is pretty small.

Great budget stay, wonderful staff

Really welcoming lovely staff, reception open 24 hours, the room was very clean. Plenty of toilets and showers are available. Markedly cheapest place to stay in the area. Free parking and close to amenities.

Very basic room. However, given the price, this is understandable. Strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway despite no smoking signs everywhere. Quite noisy during the night but it was a Saturday night.

Lovely staff, lovely facilities!

Such lovely staff who went above and beyond to help us with any queries we asked, even washed and dried our clothing for us. The room was nice and cosy with tea and coffee facilities that could be replenished at anytime upon asking. There was also a guest kitchen where we could store and make our own food which I found was very helpful and had never seen in any other hotels.

The location is good and an easy walk from the nearest Metro station/retail park that hosts several stores and restaurants/coffee shops. The check in process was fairly simple as ours was pre-paid and I found the staff to be very pleasant. There is a small shop that you can buy essentials and snacks from behind the reception, even though we didn't use this, it's good to know it's there (and the prices are clearly displayed). We received a welcome paper when we arrived which had the passwords on and other information which was very helpful. It's not something that I 'like' or 'dislike' but the rooms use real keys that you need to hand into reception when you leave for whatever reason because if you lose it, it's a £10.00 replacement. The TV worked.

The layout of the inn is confusing and there are no lifts but you get used to it when you remember where your room is - the signs don't seem to be on the same wall where they're pointing. We knew this already but there are no toilets or showers in the rooms so you will need to venture out into the hallway if you find yourself needing to go in the middle of the night. Our room wasn't the cleanest and the bed wasn't the most comfortable, we found we had to put the duvet from the top bunk onto the mattress before lying down because it really felt like you were lying on bones. There was also a piece of chicken or just... something in our plug, so it definitely needs to be cleaned better. Everything else was fairly decent - but there is no tea making facilities in the room so you will need to go to the shared kitchen that is well equipped with an air fryer/hob/microwave/kettle.

Well next days i was covered in bites from bed bugs 🐛. So definitely they need to focus on the hygiene can't treat stuff like that. Not expecting 5 star but it's all about hygiene....

Great area, amazing staff. Seemed safe for my 2 kids. Great price. Really handy. I would stay again. It's a good basic hotel experience. I would still stay again as its such a good price for the area.

The toilet cubicles are too worn out. I get that it's a good price. But fix the broken lights in the hall and put new sinks in the toilets. The cracked sinks are pretty unhygienic.

Very amenable staff made a big difference.

The staff were exceptional. I was staying overnight for the Great North Run and the receptionist showed me to book in an hour early, leave my car in the car park for the duration of the run and then use a shower after the run. Very much appreciated.

The rooms are very basic (but served my purpose), some areas in the toilets and showers were very dusty (e.g. extractor fans and tops of the hand dryers) and a couple of the hot taps were permanently running albeit at a slow rate but very wasteful.

We came up for the Rugby weekend and would use again in future.

Property was close enough to the bus stop. The metro station was a small walk but makes getting in and out of Newcastle City Centre easy enough if you have no walking problems.

I didn’t like the toilets and showers being away from my room down the corridor. I’ve got problems personally with my toilet needs so could have done with being just a little closer.
