    Everything in the hotel was top class but the only problem was that the carpets were not as clean, and there was a odd smell, and the couch in the king bedroom was very dirty aswell

    Having obtained back problems from a different hotel, due to their beds, it was nice to see that after one nights sleep at Solitaire, my back was ok again. The location is good. The only negatives is that if you get a room in the secondary building, the lower level floors (2-4) will have windows facing air conditioning units from another building that are generating a lot of noise making sleep difficult.

    A few issues. On the surface this 4 star hotel comes across OK. However, the shower in room 4308 is truly awful. One minute it is tepid the next it is super hot, without touching the controls! So you are not able to have a relaxing shower as the temperature is so variable and inconsistent. Do the other rooms in the hotel have the same problem? Second, when booking the hotel it states it has a gym and a swimming pool. It does! But l was located in the second detached building, which means it is quite a trek across the road and through the myriad of corridoors of the main building just to use these facilities. Convenient it is not! Also, the tiles on the swimming pool steps are super slippy, which caused me to fall twice (thankfully without injury). Surely the tiles into the pool could have a rough (non slip surface), which would eradicate the problem. This is an accident waiting to happen! Third, the glass door to the balcony is very stiff to open, needs oiling and some maintenance. The staff are very helpful, and overall the hotel was OK, but these issues mean l would not stay again, and sadly would not recommend.
