Calm, spacious, fantastic views and well maintained.

Rooms very spacious and well kept. Excellent views over the entire city. Cleaning staff went above and beyond having our room cleaned daily regardless of the time we headed out. Very comfortable hotel and quiet.

The view was excellent from all of the rooms

It would be good to swim before breakfast but the pool only opens at 10 and breakfast finishes at 11. Therefore we didn't book breakfast because we didn't have enough time.

Scenic location, a bit run down.

The location and the views were exceptional. Breakfast at the room only cost 5€ extra per person and was very luxurious at our rooms rooftop terrace. We visited during Christmas, and the hotel was very proactive about dinner arrangements already before our stay.

The place felt a little bit run down. A large part of the property had a slight sewer smell. There was dust in the corners of the room. The rooftop pool was temporarily out of comission. During dinner service the staff appeared very busy and stressed. We were ushered through a four course meal in 1,5 hours and were left a little bit shellshocked by the experience. The food was very good however.

Fantastic views!

We were given a better room on arrival..lovely large corner room with fantastic panoramic views from our balcony. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Lunch was delicious. Evening meal was good but maybe made wrong choices as wasn't quite what we expected. Beautiful position on top of the mount by the castle. The walk up and down to the hotel from the main town ( approx. 20 mins) is very steep and you do need to be relatively fit to do this each time otherwise it's a taxi trip each time ( cost approx 6 euros each trip) but worth it for the amazing view!

A wonderful ending of our trip in Andalucia!

A fantastic place to stay in Malaga. The view is awesome and the perspective close to the city is just perfect. A very authentic place to live after the journey in town.

The Parador is a Spanish institution. The only regret remains the lack of attention of the staff from the desk to the service on the terrace. It is really a point to optimize due to the class of the establishment.

Incredible location and rooms but not worth the money, poor service quality and food. Disappointing.

Views fabulous, location amazing, double superior room very spacious. I stayed for 4 nights. Bus service to Malaga centre very good. Comfortable bar and lounge area.

Every night until 12.15 there was terrible noise on the floor above my room. Reception staff confirmed no cleaning done at that time but on my third night I advised them again and it turned out that staff were maintaining the pool above me. I was shocked that any type of machinery was allowed at such late time at night for 2 hours and that the reception staff did not know that this was happening. They did sort in the end but it still seemed unreasonable. Limited dinner vegetarian options so I decided to change to B&B only. Service in the bar/cafetería was very slow, felt some waiters were offhand and dismissive, others were good...

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location with views over the city and the coast. Very clean hotel with attention to details.The staff on reception were wonderful and particularly helpful when we had to deal with a cancelled train. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

On our final day we booked an 8am breakfast as we had to check out and get a taxi to the airport. However at 8am there were no yogurts and the toaster wasn't set up. We were told ' not to worry' but as we were in a hurry that morning it was disappointing...

Great stay, amazing views, good room and great breakfast.

The view from the room and restaurant were superb. The pool was clean and quiet. The bedrooms are large and all have balconies. The breakfast was excellent.

Staff were friendly and helpful but some of the service in the bar wasn’t as good as elsewhere in the hotel.

Location! Location! Location! and FREE parking

Location, Location, Location. All the rooms face towards the sea, port and city. The views are fantastic and the main reason we like to stay here - a special treat. It is lovely to sit on the terrace in the evening with a glass of wine just looking out at the view - very special in our opinion. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We did have breakfast one morning as they were doing a reduced rate. There was plenty to choose from - including bacon and egg, but as we don't eat large quantities for breakfast we felt it a little expensive. I think that it needs to be made more clear that the Parador is at the top of a hill and the walk down to the city centre is quite a way. If you are unsteady on your feet probably not suitable. It is also quite a hike if you walk back up the hill. There is, however, a bus service to and from the gate of the hotel and a taxi is about 8 Euros. We love it here an hope to be back next year. A big bonus is that there is FREE parking

Very poor service . Staff were pleasant and hard working but clearly very overworked with not enough staff Wait times for food in bar an hour which is unacceptable

Breakfast was ok but for the money and hotel I would have expected better . It’s a shame but because of the lovely views it was a selfie hot spot and it seemed that anyone could walk on to the hotel grounds to take photos , our balcony was very close to where this went on and somewhat spoiled the ambience .

A dreamy hotel.

The perfect location. Every walk out of the hotel was an amazing time. They had everything you would need in the hotel and the restaurant was perfect.

The pool wasn’t cleaned well The tv remote didn’t work well and tv was old. These were the only issues you would expect to be better in this price and this perfect location.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting with views over Malaga port.

Food was very good in the restaurant and staff very helpful and polite but service quite slow at times, particularly on our first night. Reception staff were excellent and very helpful.

Beautiful hotel in a unique setting close to the castle. All staff very good but the cleaning team was exceptional. Very large rooms with a settee and chair.

The food in the snack bar lacked simplicity and was trying too hard to be trendy without being satisfying. Also, potentially overpriced.

A fabulous hotel with great views

The hotel is lovely with beautiful views! The rooms are very comfortable with great balconies.

Breakfast was included in our room rate but the staff were rude or non existent. The behaviour of the breakfast room staff was consistently poor over the 4 mornings. A la Carte breakfast option was available but you were never offered it without chasing down a member of staff, it was then a game of roulette as to whether it would arrive hot, cold or at all. For the money charged for this hotel, I expected better.

A comfortable stay

A beautiful location with a spectacular sea view from our balcony. Only a short walk to the citadel. Handy for a bus stop, but also easy to go on the footpath down to the old city. Lovely breakfast and a good selection of bar food for later.

Hotel with Magnificent views of Malaga

Great views of ocean and Malaga. Our room was quite large with sitting area balcony .Bathroom was also of good size

Needed to catch a bus to town or it is a 25 min walk Didn’t like that our room was ground floor,below reception and dining areas ( felt like we going to a dungeon as the corridors were very dark and gloom with cheap wall decor ) As the hotel is quite out of the way from town it would have been nice to have a welcome drink offered especially since they have a bar
