Very disappointing!

Check in was easy and fast

I spent 3 nights with my family. My room was not clean even once. No change of towels,I had to refuse sleeping there and a new room was giving to us only on our last night. It was a nightmare staying in this hotel.

Disappointing: the price–quality ratio is heavily overstated; this is by no means a four-star experi

The reception and bar area have a cozy atmosphere, and the bar has a good selection. The city center is easily accessible by public transportation from the hotel.

We stayed with one child, who slept on a pull-out sofa. The room furnishings felt somewhat dated, which would still have been acceptable from an aesthetic point of view; however, the pull-out sofa moved in every part and creaked loudly at even the slightest movement, making it impossible for any of us to rest properly. Upon arrival, the thermostat was set to 15°C, and the room was uncomfortably cold. Even later the room never warmed up to a comfortable temperature. The water temperature was also set very low; even at the hottest setting it was only lukewarm, which did not help with warming up. The duvets were thin, summer-weight duvets. The breakfast area is small and therefore crowded. The selection is limited and rather boring.

The warm water was gone after 5 minutes, plus the heating didn’t work properly. It was cold and even the blankets were thin, summer blankets. The beds were uncomfortable and creaking.

I can honestly say...nothing

I don't think I have ever left a negative review for a hotel before but honestly, this was the worse stay I have ever had. We travelled around Belgium staying in a different hotel every night and the budget 1 star was better than this! Room was dirty with coffee marks up walls and doors and what appeared to be nail varnish all over the desk and carpet. pool closed earlier even though I had asked a few hours previous (very disappointed child). The worst part, though, was the horrendous smell of sewer coming from the vent! We complained and they offered to move us but that room was exactly the same and it was honestly horrible! I sprayed perfume on the pillows so we could actually fall asleep. Then when I wake smelling feases all night I say, let's shower and to my horror no hot water.... I mean zero hot water! This is not in any way a 4 star.

The swimming pool water wasn’t that clean and the female Asian looking receptionist wasn’t friendly at all. It seems like she’s always annoyed when guests ask her for something or even during check out.

No free space next to the pool as people were there all the time and no extra beds. The air condition was on all the time even when I turned it off and it was cold. Someone maybe the hotel cover the air condition vent with some foil and tape

Quick Short Visit

Nice breakfast and wide range of choices. Very nice room and it was big enough to have all the three of us. Will get there again when I visit Antwerpen.

We enjoyed a wonderful family getaway, and my children were truly impressed by the breakfast.

The staff were polite, helpful and courteous. The facility has a safe car park and a decent swimming pool.

Bad experience

The guy at the check-out, he was very nice. Finding nice people like him at the check-in would have help to accept better the mediocrity of the experience.

A good welcome does it all! Unfortunately this was not what we had. The man at the reception at the arrival, Jaoaud, was not able to welcome us in a good way, very rude, not smiling, unpolite. We arrived around 8pm, he was sitting at the desk, without a welcome he ask for passport, gave a document to sign and passed me the POS to pay, all this without saying a word. When a saw that he was charging a different amount that I reserved, I asked the reason, he rudely replied saying it was normal, that that was the price. To be honest I did not liked his reaction therefore I asked to speak to a manager or manager in duty. With the same unpolite manners he told me to call myself the manager, to stay and pay otherwise to leave the hotel. I was shocked, this are not the manner. He was ungry, not a nice situation at all. And the worst thing is that no manager was there. I went to the bar and spoke to a girl and a guy, the were nice and gentle, they also offer us a drink to help forget what happened. We were travelling with 2 kids so we decided to stay otherwise we would have gone. Very bad experience!!!
