Superb breakfast with an excellent omelette station. Very ample hotel. Beautiful beach with free towels and lounge chairs! Unfortunately the ocean water was slightly cold due to the time of year (October). Great location at the bus #6 terminal stop.
The hotel was very luxurious, but many facilities were very dated. We utilized the hot tub which was not warm. The indoor pool is not heated, hard to utilize it. The gym and equipment were very dated.

Nothing.

The balcony views onto the sea
The massage rooms in the wellness area were a little noisy as they are located right beside the indoor pool so you could hear all the noise from people going to and leaving the pool.

Its a very lovely and big hotel, lots to explore and a lot of utilities to use. The view is amazing.

Excellent beach front property and great resort with collection of hotels and superb facilities and amenities Maro world was a great place too
No water kept in the rooms and room toilets clogged once. Staff didn’t try to get water instead offered to drink from tap or buy water from bar. This was wiered

We had a wonderful weekend stay at the President Hotel in Dubrovnik. Everything was perfect — from the breathtaking sea views and comfortable rooms to the excellent service and friendly staff who made us feel truly welcome.
On our last day, the hotel kindly allowed us a late check-out until 8 p.m., which made our departure day so much more relaxing and enjoyable. We really appreciated this thoughtful gesture and the overall hospitality throughout our stay.
We would highly recommend the President Hotel to anyone visiting Dubrovnik — it’s the ideal place for a relaxing and memorable getaway
The hotel was beautiful but need to be refurbished and refreshed

A beach hotel about a 10-15 min taxi from Old Town.
Breakfast was excellent and the hotel's beach restaurant was also very good.
The hotel has its own beach and very good service to your sun lounger.
The hotel is sprawling and so there are long walks to get to each part, which are not interconnected.

This is a very lovely hotel. It’s quiet, the rooms are spacious and well appointed and the staff are gracious, friendly & polite. I highly recommend this accommodation.
Spacious and the location is fabulous.

Breakfast as a V level guest was excellent - beach was good although not a sandy beach - swimming pool area really good also - service was exceptional
Dubrovnik is pretty expensive so come prepared

- Lovely view of the sea
- Staff are friendly
- Comfortable beds and pillows
- I would not call this a 5-star hotel. It is shabby, and in need of an a update. For example, the leather on the headboard was peeling off, the beach deck chairs were falling apart with the foam exposed along with stains on, hallway walls crumbling etc.
- The breakfast was okay. The food itself tasted like it was sat out for too long. It seems there was a lack of staff to help turn around tables, which made guests walk around searching for one that was set.

We stayed in a sea-view room, and it was definitely the highlight of our trip — the view was stunning, especially during sunset! The location is excellent for enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery.
The buffet breakfast offered a wide spread of choices, though the overall taste was quite average. The croissants were the best part of the breakfast. Interestingly, the capsule coffee in the room was much better than the breakfast coffee.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, the housekeeping team did not replenish the coffee capsules during our stay. Also, the digital “Do Not Disturb” sign didn’t seem to be effective — staff entered our room even when it was turned on. Thankfully, all our valuables were locked and secure.
Overall, a pleasant stay with a fantastic sea view — just a few service details that could be improved.

Fabulous beach, excellent food, location, friendly and professional staff , cleanliness, comfort, bacically everything
Entertainment is poor, would prefer some cheerfull music like salsa or similar something for guest to dance and relax, to be joyful

Good breakfast. Excellent loacation.
It was my fifth visit in Valamar and the service getting worse one year after another. This time it was really bad. Service at the pool rude and noisy. Bad Smell on corridors due to malfunctioning air condition.

The location is probably the best in town with stunning views from anywhere of the Adriatic Sea and the numerous islands on the horizon.
Super clean water.
Excellent breakfast buffet.
The staff was friendly and helpful for the most part of it.
The decor, furniture and carpeting is somewhat dated and could use some sprucing up.
The TV in our room was not working properly and decidedly not smart (no streaming option).
Gravel beach takes some getting used to.
There is tiered-class access system to the lounge area at the beach (presumably depending on the room rate) which was opaque and not properly explained.
Skip the dining options at the hotel and walk 10 minutes to outstanding and affordable local seafood restaurants.
Note not related to the hotel:
Croatia is no longer a hidden gem, it is now a very expensive mass tourist destination, particularly since the adoption of the Euro currency in 2023.
If you can, visit in the off-season.

Good facilities and great access to the beach and a number of local restaurants. Also easy to get to the old town on the number 6 bus.
Everything was really expensive. 6Euros for a can of drink, every meal for a family of 4 including lunch was easily over £100.
Buffet was pretty average for food selection.

The views were very nice, pillows were really good and overall room size. Staff was friendly and the location was superb
The rooms are outdated, needs renovation, looked like a 2* hotel- not 5*. The beach was overpacked and very very noisy as a lot of outside guests were welcomed with just their own towels- no tranquility there. Breakfast and food was terrible- nothing tasted good, only fresh orange juice and coffee. For the lunch- so overpriced for that quality, we had to go out for lunch just to taste better dishes

The hotel thinks of itself as a 5 star resort and every member of the staff is fully on board with it. We were well taken care of by friendly, efficient staff.

Great location. Whilst a L arge hotel, has lots of spaces for guests so can be very quiet too. Staff are amazing.
Gym is not good to use in the afternoon and early evening. Windows in full sun, inadequate air conditioning.

Everything about this hotel is exceptional. Location is great, facilities (beach, pool, spa, bars…) made to enjoy, quality and selection of food (we had half-board) was outstanding but hospitality of staff and excellence of service they provide is truly unique. And one of the reasons I will return to this fantastic place.
We liked it all.

Staff and food choice at breakfast - out if this world!! Best we have ever had
Could be more planked areas on beach so easier to get into water - or even in the planks continued into the water so easier to swim

I liked that they used room keys for elevators and for proving your identity with your room number.
The hotel has a nice restaurant on the first floor.
Has a nice open bar where they have live performances with different artists every night.
Beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea.
Friendly staff. Good service.
This hotel states that it is a 5-star luxury hotel. I found it not luxurious enough. Felt like it's wanna be luxury, but not quite there. It felt tired.
The beach is all brown stone and cracked concrete instead of nice-looking pavements with sick-looking palm trees. I didn't find a lot of flowers and decorations outside. They should pay more attention to the outdoor details.
This hotel consists of a network of chopped corridors all connected by narrow stairs and walkways. the carpets on the floors were dirty and smelly. Needed some cleaning or better - changing. The wallpaper on the second floor was bubbly, the ceiling in the rooms had uneven painting and also chips. It looked like they remodeled some parts of the hotel, but skipped the others, which was very noticeable.
The breakfast was not bad, but boring. They had all the same variety of foods instead of spicing up by changing at least several items on the menu.
The location is convenient if you use Uber. But too far to walk.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and bright with very large rooms and bathroom and a lovely terrace. The staff were extremely friendly and the service was excellent. There was live music each evening in the bar area.It was easy to get Ubers or Taxis into the old town. There was a pebble beach with plenty of loungers available and safe sea swimming.
The outdoor pool was quite cold but would be warmer later in the season I’m sure.

The lobby and general outlook of the hotel is really beautiful. It's in a fantastic location -- best sunset views on Dubrovnik -- and it was a relief to come home each day from busy old town into the spacious lobby and lobby bar, the huge indoor heated pool, the lovely beach, etc. The views and lobby are probably the best bit (with some lower levels and beach adjacent areas showing their age, a bit). It's a very cheap Uber in and out of town and a lovely drive, so well worth being in this location.
The Maro World kids club is truly fantastic, too, and occupies kids very happily for days (and in fact my kid kept asking to go back). It's new, huge, filled with educational play (and a video game room). (Although one slight quirk: I know Dubrovnik is quite safe, but I don't think adults should be able to wander into Maro World without signing in or out. They also said they can't stop kids from leaving, legally, so you have to trust that your kid will not leave? They might update this policy a bit for peace of mind. But staff were warm and lovely and again it is quite a safe area.)
The indoor pool was fantastic; nice staff, very clean, very big, lovely views. The pool and breakfast staff were both really great.
We had some serious noise issues, sadly. We had requested a 'quiet' room as we had a little kid we put to bed quite early. We did get a corner room on the 7th floor, which was great and in itself quiet (no noise from bars or lobby). However, the noise proofing between floors and walls is quite bad and if you happen to have noisy upstairs neighbours there is nothing you can do. We had a deck upstairs -- a hot tub unit, I think -- and so listened to pounding, jumping, running, and dragging chairs across the deck floor/ceiling from 6:45am to 10am and then again from 7pm to 10:30pm, each day (our kid sleeps by 8pm and was repeatedly waken by this). So if you're there to relax or sleep in, this is not ideal.
We complained about this 3-4 times, but the issue was not addressed. The first night the hot tub upstairs was apparently broken and grinding like a jet engine -- we called and a porter went to check -- but no follow up after this. The next day I spoke with concierge about ongoing noise and was told the manager was informed, but nothing improved (and no one followed up). I called again one night, in a state, and no noticeable improvement.
So, while this is a lovely hotel -- and overall a good place to stay, esp. with the indoor pool -- it's definitely not quite a 5 star experience, if that is what you are expecting (e.g., the Langham London or Ritz or something like that). The service doesn't hit that standard, nor to the rooms (which are pleasant, roomy, and clean, but more basic).

The location of this hotel if great.Right next to the adriatic sea overlooking the islands.
The rooms were clean and the staff was cordial.
They even arranged for an early checkin for us s we landed quite early in the morning.
Breakfast spread was good.
The first few days, the dinner items weren't labelled, so it was hard to figure out the contents, especially for someone with allergies it was a challenge.
It improved on the 4th day of our stay.
The dinner had many options, but they could do better on taste.

Great location on a beautiful pebble beach, very good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, well maintained property
The food served on the beach is not good enough and needs inprovement, also there is not enough waiters, so you have to fight for their attention.
It is allowed to smoke on the beach so you will probably experience a smoker smoking on one of your neigboring chairs and the wind migt blow it towards you. Once we had a cigar smoker next to us and it was blowing towards us and when the waiter was serving us food we asked if this is ok and he said it is allowed to smoke there “why not”.
Smoking is also allowed on the breakfast terrace, they will even bring you an ashtray to your table while people next to you are eating breakfast, so again if you have a smoker next to you you might smell smoke while eating.

Only the location and some facilities
We didn’t like the rooms and as standards for what so called 5 stars hotel, cleaning is very bad
