Iberostar Waves Bahía de Palma - Adults Only

We stayed for four nights five days as part of a trip to tour around Spain. We used this hotel as a break for our poor feet after travelling through Barcelona. As Canadians, we are used to doing all inclusive trips yearly down south to the Dominican Republic or Mexico. The food at this hotel is second to none and 1 million times better than any hotel we have ever stayed at in those countries. The only downside is that we are used to having all inclusive or three meals a day with all drinks included whereas in this hotel, it is only half board with two meals and drinks only included at breakfast. There are lots of good restaurants down the street from this hotel if you require lunch. What I appreciated most about this hotel is the fact that it is an adults only hotel and that I could sit by the pool in silence to read my book. In other all inclusive hotels that we visit yearly the music is booming and it is a party atmosphere. This one is very quiet and calming and gives you a chance to rejuvenate. The room we stayed at was a standard one and very small for two people. We didn’t spend much time in the room so that wasn’t really an issue but could see it being one if you were staying for a week or longer. The staff is extremely attentive and very helpful. Whatever you need, they do their best to try and accommodate you. I also know that they speak a lot of different languages. The beach is only across the street which is fabulous. When we travel to Mexico and the Dominican the beach area and the loungers belong to the hotel and are free to use. The beach loungers here belong to private enterprise and so you must pay between 30 and €75 per day for two lounge chairs and an umbrella. Not insignificant, but important for Canadian visitors to realize. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to come again. It is too bad it is such a long flight from Canada!

Amazing location. Friendly, attentive staff. Rooms clean with sea views. Good selection of food in the Buffet dining room. Conveniently located near the airport.

Air conditioning in the room set to a minimum of 18°C which is not cold enough for the summer months.

Amazing breakfast and excellent staff service. We got upgraded to a beach view. The facilities were ample. Amazing to be able to hear the waves at night. Best place I've stayed at by far!

Pool was not heated so was uncomfortable to be in.

Good restaurant

Reception was a disaster , beginning from check-in and for all our stay , you had to keep calling to get something done , seemed like no one knows nothing there. When we arrived in the room the safe door was broken , literally hanging without the possibility to close it. One of the days the cleaning cleared our room from everything, when we came back we didn’t had a single glass in the room , also no coffee or towels left in the room. Outside at the pool some days they provided excellent service , other days no one came to ask you if you want anything, you had to go inside to ask yourself.
