This is a gem of a find, both for location and personable, friendly staff.

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are ever in MIddleburg. The owner/manager/bartender/cook (sadly, I forgot his name) was absolutely wonderful. He was very friendly and welcoming and pointed me in the right direction when I needed more Euros as most of the restaurants there do not take Visa. The room was plenty big enough for two people and the breakfast was hearty and delicious. I 100% recommend this place and I will certainly stay here again if I am ever in the area. The hotel was conveniently located to the trail along the water and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants of the city center of Middleburg. Plus, the parking was free and right next to the building.

Exceptional

Pretty much everything thing about this place was great. The breakfast was so good. Lots to choose from. Location was very close to everything. Room came with a fridge, that I was pretty happy about. I would definitely stay here again if I ever visit Zoutelande again.

The only small downside though it was not an issue personally. The toilet was pretty snug. If you had to close the bathroom door, you barely had room to sit. Since it was just me, I could keep the door open, so sitting wasn't an issue.

Convenient location, great breakfast, room old and could be cleaner.

Location superb, close to the dyke and around the corner from restaurants, cafes and shops. Breakfast fabulous: scrambled eggs, warm buns, fresh juices etc.

It's an old hotel, could do with TLC. There were hairs in the shower. A very steep staircase to get to the room. Way too expensive. If I ever go there again it won't be through Booking.com

Disappointing

The staff was nice, the location was good. The breakfast was quite ok, but not special. Room was quite clean

On the pictures the rooms look nice, but they are realy outdated and very small. Beds were not nice. The toilet basicly does not fit in the bathroom (no room around it) and the shower does not look very invitational.

Perfect for a beach vacation

Perfect location if you want to sleep, have breakfast and then spend your whole day at the beach. Also they have a beautiful garden and a nicely stacked bar.

Top Lage

Die Lage des Hotels ist super, nur 5 Minuten über die Düne bis zum Strand und direkt an einer Straße mit Restaurants und Geschäften. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war recht einfach eingerichtet aber mit allem was man braucht, sogar mit Wasserkocher und einem Minikühlschrank. Es gab auch ausreichend Steckdose durch eine Steckerleiste, das findet man in Hotels auch selten. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und bis 11 Uhr.

Unser Zimmer war nur über eine sehr steile Treppe zu erreichen, mit dem Gepäck war das etwas umständlich aber das ist man ja in den Niederlanden gewohnt. Das Bad hat keine extra Heizung und durch die Lüftung blies der kalte Wind hinein. Insgesamt war das Zimmer unter dem Dach etwas kalt. Das 140ger Bett war für uns leider zu klein um bequem schlafen zu können.

Unterkunft in idealer Lage mit kleineren Schwächen

Die Lage ist fantastisch, das Personal sehr freundlich und die Frühstücksspiegeleier waren perfekt. Es ist ruhig und der Ausblick in den Garten/Hof sehr schön.

Nun, die Unterkunft oder zumindest unser Zimmer (das wir allerdings sehr kurzfristig gebucht haben) ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Die Dusche hat noch einen Duschvorhang, die Seifenschale wackelt, die Dusche ist nicht richtig befestigt, die Matratzen bzw. die Lattenroste müssten mal erneuert werden und es gibt auch sehr wenig Stauraum für die Sachen. Aber für einige Tage ist es wirklich nett, ruhig und sehr erholsam dort

Geweldige locatie midden in centrum. Met de hond ideaal. Leuke kamers.

Basic hotel. Beetje verouders. Mag wel wat gepimpt worden. Kleurtje op de muur en wat leuke schilderijtjes zou al wat zijn. In de ontbijtzaal heeft het pannenkoekenplantje heel veel babietjes gekregen 😉, ook hier kun jet met wat moderne accessoires al veel doen. Ontbijt is prima, maar standaard. Bedden waren goed. De tuin kan ook wel wat aandacht krijgen.

Eigenaar bood aan een kamer beneden te nemen zodat de hond geen trappen hoeft te lopen . Hier gebruik van gemaakt. Oorspronkelijk had ik een 1 p kamer. Super lief en meedenkend.

Geen koffie zetter op de kamer.

Kamer was wat stoffig. Plinten, onder het bed. Maar verder zag het er goed uit. Hele ruime kamer, prima badkamer! We komen zeker terug!

Die Nähe zum Strand. Der ( Bier) garten direkt hinter dem Hauptgebäude ist ganz nett, auch für Kinder.

Sauberkeit! Schimmel im Kühlschrank Sitzbereich an der Wohnung total versammelt Wollte Fire-TV-Stick ins TV stecken - Fernseher von hinten total verdreckt. Ein Blick in den Hauswirtschaftsraum / Waschraum und in den Raum hinter der Theke, in dem wohl das Frühstück vorbereitet wird, sagt mehr als 1000 Worte. Das machen auch der freundliche Gastwirt und die fleissige Dame, die sowohl das Frühstück zubereitete als auch die Zimmer mehr schlecht als Recht aufräumen, nicht wett. Zimmer Nr. 38 inkl. Einrichtung uralt und miniklein. Anschlusskabel Badlampe liegt frei Ich könnte immer weiter schreiben...

De wastafel liep niet door. Na het douchen liep het water onder de tegels en bij iedere stap kwam het water omhoog. Pas na vragen werd de kamer gedaan met ook schone handdoeken Het ontbijt op mijn eerste dag was ok, daarna iedere dag minder Zondag geen koffie Vaak restjes van de vorige dag

Het hotel was erg netjes, schoon en goed georganiseerd. Het in- en uitchecken ging vlot en het personeel was vriendelijk. Het ontbijtbuffet was een uitstekende start van de dag.

Er was eigenlijk niets dat tegenviel. Alles was prima in orde!

Die Lage ist unschlagbar. Unmittelbare Nähe zum Strand und zur kleinen Einkaufsstraße. Beim Frühstücksbuffet ist für jeden was dabei. Schöner Garten mit Sitzgelegenheiten, um den Abend ausklingen zu lassen.

Dreckig und kaputt, nie wieder!

Es war alles alt und dreckig! Der Duschvorhang hatte unzählige ekelhafte Flecken. Im Bad war alles verrostet. Die Vorhänge waren teilweise abgerissen und die Haken und Ösen verrostet. Die Matratze war eine Zumutung, mit harten Federn, die in den Rücken stachen, als würde man auf Großmutters uraltem Sofa sitzen. Und die Bettdecken stanken unerträglich. Das „Buffet“ war ebenfalls nicht tragbar. Das dreckige Besteck lag in noch dreckigeren Besteckkästen und alles, was es zu essen und zu trinken gab, war billigstes Zeug! Dieses ist meine erste schlechte Bewertung, die ich geschrieben habe, aber es war wirklich alles eine Zumutung.
