Charming Cottage Feel and Exceptional Breakfast, Despite a Few Small Drawbacks

It felt more like a getaway cottage, which was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and friendly, and the breakfast was exceptional. I would definitely stay here again, an ideal getaway.

I saw a couple of comments about the shower cabin being small, which I agree with. However, I’m on the shorter side, so I didn’t have much of a problem with it. I did have an issue with the mirror in the bathroom, though—it seemed to be designed only for tall people, and I could barely see myself. Besides that, everything was totally fine.

This stay had the potential to be a perfect and relaxing three-day getaway for me and my partner to escape our busy work

The location was perfect, especially because I planned to visit Thermaalbad Arcen, go cycling, and it was also close to the city of Düsseldorf.

Unfortunately, there was no fridge in the room and no drink vending machines in the lobby or on any floor, which was very inconvenient given the hot weather. I had to buy one bottle of water and one bottle of ice tea from the restaurant for €10, but within a few hours they became warm again. If the restaurant had been closed, I would have had no access to cold drinks since nearby shops were also closed at that time. On top of that, I noticed the soap and shampoo in the dispensers seemed to be diluted with water, which was quite disappointing and felt less hygienic.

Bad

Very dirty room. Dryed dead mosquitos on the wall, electricity problem with the light and the tv alimentation cable,risk of fire. I notice the reception and the answer was: no tehnicienon the weekend. The paint on the walls was dirty and exfoiled. I have talk with the Manager today. Is rated at 4 stars but diserve non. I will comeplainto Booking also. I have photos to prouve.

Superb

Clean and cheap. We just stopped here when driving to the Czech Republic from England. It wasn't far from the motorway. The room was clean the furniture was older but nice and I can't complain. Staff was friendly.

Disapointed

Before I came to the hotel, I wrote a message that I would like to get a nice room with two singles beds, because I was traveling with a future bride. We get a room with one big bed and with the toilet, where the shower was full of black mold and fungus (I made a photo). I asked also to not charge my card, because I would like to pay by cash. The hotel made a preauthorization on my card, during the check-in the receptionist asked me to pay by cash. At least I decide to charge my card for this stay, the receptionist told me, that she dont know how to charg the card so she prefer to take a cash from me... No comments. We left in the same day, because of a dirty room, dirty walls, dirty window and the shower. We haven't even been there for two hours. With a 110 euro I expected better standard. At the end I want to say, that my card was authorized TWICE. Now Im waiting how it will end with the money from my credit card.

Trotz Zusagen von Herrn Bram Hesen mussten meine Eltern doppelt zahlen und warten bis heute auf Rückerstattung.

Ich habe am 24.01. ein Zimmer für meine Eltern gebucht und 90 € bezahlt. Herr Edsel Hanley rief an und sagte zuerst, es gebe keine Zimmer mehr, später bestätigte er, alles sei geklärt und meine Eltern könnten im Fletcher Hotel in Mill übernachten. Dort gab es jedoch um 3 Uhr nachts keine Buchung und sie mussten zusätzlich 185 € zahlen. Seit Wochen warte ich auf die von Herrn Bram Hesen zugesagte Rückerstattung. Sehr unprofessionell und nicht kundenfreundlich.

Raam hotelkamer verrot.

Locatie aan de rand van Arcen.

We konden niet uit het raam kijken. Dubbelglas zat vol met vocht en glaslatten waren verrot de schimmel zat op het raam. Melding van gemaakt. Maar alle kamers waren bezet. En de inval receptionist wist niet goed hoe dit op te lossen, we kregen wel voor 1 persoon een gratis welkomsdrankje. We waren er met 2 personen op 1 De Luxe Kamer. Terwijl we er even waren en gingen dineren en tijdens het diner mocht de bon voor het drankje niet gebruikt worden. Dit is iemand blij maken met net niets. Dus de bon niet gebruikt. Online melding van gemaakt met foto's erbij. Nog geen reactie.

Vriendelijke, gastvrije medewerkers. Nette kamers, voorzien van alle gemakken. Vlakbij het thermaalbad Arcen

Er was nogal wat rumoer 's-nachts en s'morgens van het verkeer op de doorgaande weg. Ik miste duidelijkheid over de openingstijden van het restaurant en de bar. Verder is ergeen enkel minpunt te noemen.

Fijn dat ze gratis parkeren aanbieden en het echt heel schoon is!

Dat bij inchecken de kamers nog niet volledig gereed zijn. De namen worden door elkaar gehaald (van andere boekingen). Daardoor moest de kamer pas op dat moment zelf gereed gemaakt worden. Personeel begrijpt ook niet wat je probeert uit te leggen of dat je aangeeft dat de andere naam jouw naam niet is.

Rustige omgeving. Netjes schoon.

Klein, waar wel knus. Wat mij voornamelijk tegen valt, als je een verkeerde data boekt en de zelfde dag wilt omzetten, moet je stad en land bewegen om je geld terug te krijgen en dat krijg je dan uiteindelijk niet. Dus heb je dubbele kosten. Ik ben een vaste klant van booking.com maar denk er serieus over niet meer bij hen een hotel te boeken. Dit is mij nu 3 keer overkomen. Oja en kortingen worden niet verrekend. Als je dat zegt, moet je je bankafschriften laten zien. Jullie zien zelf toch ook wat ik betaald heb.

Geen geschikt hotel wanneer je laat in de avond aankomt.

De verlichting in de badkamer vonden wij matig. Personeel alleen bij uitchecken gesproken, ze heeft onze klacht serieus aangehoord. Ontbijt was verder prima.

Daar we iets later aan zouden komen dan in de boeking aangegeven, hebben we telefonisch contact met het hotel opgenomen. Alleen omdat er geen nachtportier aanwezig was werden we automatisch doorverbonden met een ander locatie. We werden verzocht om bij aankomst bij de nachtkluis van het hotel (zij-ingang) opnieuw contact op te nemen, we zouden dan te horen krijgen hoe we de kluis konden openen. Eenmaal aangekomen bij de nachtkluis namen we andermaal contact op echter na 10 minuten in de wacht te hebben gestaan hebben we de verbinding verbroken en stonden we op het punt om een overnachting elders te gaan zoeken. Bij een 2e poging kregen we toch iemand aan de lijn die ons uitlegde hoe de nachtkluis geopend kon worden. We waren natuurlijk blij dat we uiteindelijk naar onze kamer konden maar minder blij dat de kamerdeur met een harde knal dicht viel!

Prima hotel voor de geboden lage prijs.

Vriendelijk personeel, krappe badkamer slecht te openen raam door de montage van de gordijnen. Voorzijde hotel ligt aan een drukke weg die goed hoorbaar is bij geopend raam. Erg warme kamer. Prima waterkoker met koffie en thee op de kamer. Krap maar nette stoelen en tafel.

Brandend licht in de gang schijnt over de kamer deur door. Montage tochtstrip zou dat voorkomen.
