About this house rental
WELCOME! Come in and relax by the fire with tea/coffee/wine or cozy up next to family for a movie on the flat screen tv. Take a walk out onto the wrap-around balcony and take in the views of Pickering Passage & watch the Orcas come by too! It is easy to watch the kids play down just below in the garden under the arched trellis or gather the entire family and enjoy a BBQ on the ground floor.

You could also go down to shore and enjoy the marine life right at your fingertips or look up to see herons, gulls, murrelets, and of course, eagles gliding by. If you're a nature enthusiast, you might want to kayak out onto the Hood Canal or take the kids beach combing for hours.
Whatever you do decide to do, you'll be happy to know that once you're tired and hungry, a beautiful craftsman kitchen awaits with comfortable well thought out seating for everyone to enjoy a gourmet meal.
As the sun sets, don't forget to grab some s'mores by the fire just below the deck. And perhaps if a brisk evening breeze comes by, the family can come inside for movie night next to the kids' fort in the recreation room on the ground floor.
After a full day of fun, retire yourself to either the master bedroom, kids' room, guest room, or loft where your body will sink into comfortable beds ready for restful sleep.

**As we are close to nature here, please be aware that guests may run into birds, marine animals (orcas, gray whale), local wildlife such as deer and rabbits, bugs (slugs, ants, moths, etc) around the property. We do treat around the home routinely for everyone's comfort.**
**we understand at times guests can accidentally cause damage to the property affecting amenities available to the next guests. We will try to replace them ASAP to provide the best service to our next guests. If there is unavoidable delay, we appreciate your understanding and will do our best to accommodate your stay**
HOUSE RULES
⦁ Only guests mentioned on the reservation are allowed to stay on the property. Any additional guests will need to have permission from owner to access property.
⦁ Please: no parties, no illicit drugs, no excessive noise, no smoking indoors, do not take anything from the property including host belongings & no pets unless agreed upon prior to stay.
⦁ Please: Observe Quiet Hours 9:30PM to 8AM. Respect property lines. Follow posted house rules at the property especially safety rules.
⦁ Please make sure to return gate remote. Replacement fee applied if not returned.
⦁ Please do not leave children unattended on the balcony, loft, stairs, and outside walkways & fire pits. They are not child proof, present fall risks, and can be slippery with rain or be a fire/water hazard. Use precaution with the elderly as well. USE AT YOUR OWN DISRCRETION AND RESPONSIBILITY.
⦁ If you choose to use fire pits, please EXTINGUISH ALL FIRES before going back inside.
⦁ YOU ARE WELCOME TO USE any toys at your own discretion and responsibility. Children should always be supervised when using them. Please put them back after use. Water toys come with a fee.
⦁ FOR SAFETY, please no rough play. Guests will be liable for all injuries &/or damages that result from unsafe behavior.
⦁ Please WASH/DUST OFF SAND before entering the house. Please don't wash sand into the sinks/bathtubs. Next to the entrance outside is a hose you can wash off sand there before going inside.
⦁ Rental agreement required. The wood stove is not available to guest use due to fire hazard not being covered by insurance.
*downstairs half bath no longer available to guest use due to toys always wanting going to down into the septic system.

Pro’s: quiet area close to the water not directly on the water, huge outside patio,Comfortable beds, open kitchen and living room. Good stock of paper towels, toilet paper, dishsoap , towels, trash bags heat and acCon’s: accessing the property with an entrance gate that is owned by another property owner was a huge hassle and apparently a problem with all renters and the host. Cameras on the back patio is akward and came on everytime the back door is opened, back doors going out to patio constantly struggling with opening them, chandelier knob broken and in an akward place to find, carpet stains on the sofa and the carpet down stairs, screen on back porch torn and coming off, obstructed view of water due to overgrowth of trees and vegetation, fire pit can’t use due to burn ban, decor is hodge podge mix of Asian and African animals with wood cabin and beach decor, no hockey puck for the air hockey table, steep dangerous areas going down to water with washout of dirt and exposed re bar which is very hazardous and dangerous, you have to carry the kayaks down to the water and then return and wash them after use, haul them back up to the landing every day due to the tides. Lots of warning signs everywhere with risk to the renters including kids using the bunk beds Dull knives, expired spices and condiments, 2 glasses only in home,lots of coffee cups had to buy glasses to use, worn pots and pans, dirty baking sheet, no casserole dishes, no body wash.

We had an excellent stay on this property. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. We walked down to the water daily when lower tide. We got to see deer daily as well eating from the trees and bushes. We had everything we needed inside as well including baby gates, a pack and play, and a highchair for my 2 1/2 year old. She loved the playroom most of all. we used the grill out back and loved our time on the deck. We highly recommend!

We enjoyed a few days at this cabin. It was very well appointed and our dog loved swimming in the inlet. Quiet, peaceful and very relaxing.

We had a lovely time in this beautiful house. We were welcome by such fun and thoughtful gifts (Thank you!). The children had plenty of space to play. They set up "Kid happy hour" area in the basement every night with all the toys provided by the hosts. That allowed grownups to have our own time relaxing and chatting.We fished offshore and from the kayaks (provided). The house is very well stocked, clean and cozy. Thank you for a great stay!
