Beautiful view and well equipped, clean condominium. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Our visit happened to coincide with a downstairs remodel so it was noisy during the day, but that won't normally be the case, Im sure. Would return...thank you!

This was one of the best condos we've stayed in. The owner, Richard, was very helpful from the beginning. He had lots of great recommendations. The grounds of the condo were well maintained and we enjoyed the pools and views. I felt very safe there. The condo itself was very nice. We had everything we needed from laundry detergent, beach chairs and mat, snorkeling gear, towels, etc. We enjoyed the various fruit from the fruit basket we were given. We hope to be back to Kona and would love to stay here again!

We have stayed in this section of Kanaloa before and always enjoy it. This unit has a wonderful golf and ocean view and the owner did a great job communicating (even calling me beforehand to give me some helpful information). There was also a nice gift basket when we arrived for our two week visit. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice clean condo with beautiful sunset views over the ocean and golf course. Fully stocked with plenty of cookware, blender, etc. Was also happy to find some spices, oils, foil, paper plates and some condiments (we've stayed other places where those items are removed after each stay). The small ice chest and beach chairs came in handy and even some snorkel gear and tennis rackets. AC would have been nice but the fans do work pretty well. The property is nice maybe a little dated but maintained.

We have been coming to Hawaii for over 40 years. The condo and location exceeded our expectations. The lack of A/C was a non-factor- Trade winds were fine (and this was August!) and the Lanai is large with a lovely ocean view. A well-equipped condo- especially the kitchen and the unit is nicely decorated. This is perfect for a couple who does not want a opulent resort vacation. Has an enormous master bathroom- always a boon. The facilities are good- nice oceanfront pool and tennis courts. The location is very quiet which suited us perfectly. Nice walking neighborhood, and close to neighborhood beach and local grocery stores. The owners graciously provided a welcome basket- a first for us. We will return!

This one bedroom two bath condo was very well equipped and in pristine condition. The view from I was of the ocean, straight over part of the golf course. The owner has provided everything you need, including a well equipped kitchen and beach chairs, mass, boogie boards, etc. I would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 day stay! The location is fairly centralized for enjoyong a host of activities. Many dining and shopping options are minutes away. Snorkel and night Manta Ray tours are less than a mile away. Overall, you can't go wrong staying at this priperty!

Front start to finish this was such a beautiful place to stay. Waking up to the sunrise and waves crashing down outside the lanai sipping my kona coffee is truly unbeatable. This has been our favorite place to stay on the big island, the facilities are great the condo is huge. Incredible place to call home for 2 weeks our family can't wait to be back again! Mahalo

We visited in September and didn’t realize there was no air conditioning in this unit….(there were ceiling fans and, most helpful to allow us to sleep, two pretty small but powerful fans)..lesson learned to inquire about that next time! :( …Still giving a “5” star because the condo provided everything else that was needed for a wonderful stay. The king bed was super comfortable. The master had a HUGE area to shower with double shower heads. There was plenty of room to store/hang our clothes. The kitchen was stocked with every possible need (plates, pots/pans, cups, insulated mug…just to name a small portion of items provided), and we had all that we needed when we went for a beach day (chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, sand mats). To top off the fully stocked condo… the VIEWS WERE PHENOMENAL and the condo “grounds” (can walk off of the golf course along the ocean to watch the beautiful waves crashing against the rocky shore) and pools were absolutely beautiful. I’ve only noted the information about the absence of AC because I didn’t see this information in the VRBO listing (may have been there… I just didn’t remember seeing this information). A cool shower each evening, sliders open in the living and bed rooms, and the fans did allow for a good night’s rest.

This apartment was lovely. We’ll appointed with everything you need and located in the best spot for exploring the BIG ISLAND. We will definitely contact the owner again for another visit. Only one suggestion to make our visit better… the lack of air conditioning at night. The fans helped immensely but the bedroom faces South and doesn’t get as much of the ocean breeze.

This condo was a dream vacation for us. Every night we enjoyed the best sunset... all the colors glistening on the waves straight from our lanai. Condo is very clean and well kept. Beds are super comfortable. We are family of 3 and our son had a very comfortable murphy bed (wall unit that we put away during the day..super easy). Kitchen is very well setup for cooking multiple nights at the condo. Condo also had good beach chairs and umbrella. Even though we were there in hot and humid time, condo has ceiling fans plus the ocean air from lanai made the temp perfect. There are some decent eateries, good grocery anda lovely book store plus other shops walking distance. Keauhou bay is walking distance too...they have fun manta ray tours and snorkeling tours right from Keauhou bay. We enjoyed golfing with the ocean views and it was so convenient to walk to the country club. Last but not least Richard and Gayle are the most generous hosts. We had an artisan packet with local fruits, coffee and treats waiting for us when we checked in. Checkout is at 11am and we had a late flight out of Kona, but Richard and Gayle let us stay till evening without additional cost. It felt like we are staying at a family's condo. We highly recommend staying at Richard and Gayle's condo if you are in Kona.

Great clean property. The owners supply everything you need, and have a really good response time - I wish I could have enjoyed it longer. The beds and pillows were comfortable and everything was clean and easy to use. The kitchen supplies are great if you want to cook there, and the overall property seemed safe and secure. It did get hot even with windows open and fans on but it was not unbearable (maybe add another standing fan and fix 2 ceiling fans that get a little shaky). They even supplied beach gear that looked to be in good shape, but we didn’t get to use it. I would definitely stay here again!

We loved this condo! Amazing location! It is steps away from the ocean. The lanai looks out on the ocean and over a golf course. And we had the best view of sunset every day. It was perfect for our family of 4. Our 2 young kids slept in the Murphy bed in the living room, which was very comfortable. The master bedroom and bath are spacious and updated. The kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen we have ever seen in a rental. There is no AC but it’s not needed. The condo is well ventilated with fans and the cool ocean breeze keeping the doors and windows open. The sound of the ocean waves hitting rocks is loud which we love and will miss. The owners are very welcoming and responsive to any needs. I already shared this link with my family who is now planning to stay here in the near future. And we will definitely be returning!

The Kanaloa Condos are located in one of Kona's best locations. Secluded in a quiet area surrounded by the beautiful Kona Country Club Golf Course and the South Pacific Sea. Condo 1603 has one of the best ocean and sunset views in the complex with a nice refreshing ocean breeze. The Condo was equipped with everything you'd have if this was home: nicely furnished, full kitchen stocked with everything; Beach Chairs and other beach items for all of those close by beaches, etc. Well done Richard and Gayle. You were super hosts and we had a fun 43rd Anniversary Week in your lovely Condo.

Beautiful Central location in Kona area with easy access to the Ali'i Hwy shopping district and beaches and 30 minute drive to Two Step at Captain Cook. Our condo had everything we could need, including cooler, beach chairs, plenty of space and incredible sunset views directly from the lanai. We opted to forego the air conditioner option and there was plenty of airflow to keep us cool at night in that king size bed. The small group of mongoose (mongeese?) that live on the golf course were highly entertaining, and the sounds of the waves crashing on the lava rock below during the night provided the perfect soundtrack for a restful night sleep. We will be coming back to this condo for our next big island adventure. Btw, if you go to Shaka Tacos in Captain Cook, sit at the dining bar overlooking the bay. The geckos are friendly!! 🤙

We absolutely love this condo!! It had everything you could ask for and more. Amazing location, GORGEOUS sunsets on the lanai, sound of the waves in the rocks, friendly and helpful staff, well stocked kitchen, beautiful property and thoughtful welcome basket! Amazing, well maintained property with a great ocean view! Very clean, well stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay including beach chairs, ice chest, etc. The property also has access to 3 pools, one of which has view of the ocean. The communication for booking and everything leading up to our visit was perfect. Richard provided some local suggestions on restaurants, places with a great view to enjoy a drink, snorkeling, and more. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

What a wonderful condo! Such a beautiful setting with amazing views of the ocean. Very comfortable and spacious condo, thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, including beach chairs and a coffee grinder for that marvelous, local, Kona coffee! The condo is in a lovely, quiet community that is in walking (and very easy driving) distance to restaurants, groceries and shopping. Also a good location for exploring the towns of Kona and Captain Cook, and for nearby snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay. Plan for about a 40 minute ride to/from the airport and a little more for the resort areas of the Northwest coast and beautiful Hapuna Beach. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck, listening to the surf and watching the sunset! We wish we could have stayed longer than 5 nights! We highly recommend this lovely condo and hope to return next year.

This was a great place to stay, just as advertised, view was great. Slow speed resort in easy distance to all of Kona and south Kona’s attractions. The view again was stunning, nothing between you and the ocean except a little bit of pretty golf course. Definitely recommend.
