Apartment reeked of smoke and heating didnt work

Okay location, spacious flat

- the whole apartment reeked of cigarettes, to the extent that it was unbearable to stay there - the heating didnt work despite following the instructions provided by the host - the host ignored our questions about heating and the cigarette smoke and totally ghosted me on whatsapp

Good location on both the M1 and M2 lines.

Mostly everything went well. Great having a washing room particularly as I was part way through a 6 week holiday.

The bed was a bit lumpy. I couldn’t work out the dryer so maybe a sign in English would be of assistance.

The room was really nice and had everything you could possible need and want. Everything was super clean and seemed brand new. Close to metro stations and overall close to other nice places to visit.

The sofa bed wasn’t great. I read a few reviews before booking saying that the sofa bed wasn’t good, and they were quite right. If you lay a certain way it’s alright but you could feel the metal tubes under the mattress. Not the worst bed but definitely not the best sofa bed.

Air con is non existent. Impossible to sleep as it is so loud. Even ear plugs didn’t block it out. Unbearable. Bed was also too soft. No amenities for the price.

Overall, the stay was okay, but there were a few downsides.

Since we were travelling a lot during our stay, the location near Milano Centrale was suitable and convenient for getting around. There’s also a nice market nearby.

There were a few downsides worth mentioning. There were three of us, and the apartment felt too small, especially with one of the beds located in the kitchen area. I had some issues with the kettle; although the support team was responsive and tried to help, it still didn’t work properly in the end. Also, there was an induction stove, but one of the pan provided wasn’t suitable for it, which was a bit strange and inconvenient. What bothered me the most, though, was the lack of basic kitchen essentials. There was no salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, coffee, or tea—nothing. I understand these things might sometimes go missing or be taken by previous guests, but they’re small, inexpensive items that make a big difference in comfort, especially for short stays. A 1kg pack of salt costs less than a euro, but it really helps create a better impression.

Flat has BEDBUGS!!! DON‘T BOOK!!!

DON‘T BOOK this flat, it has BEDBUGS!!! We saw them at the bedframe and I have multiple bites now. Oh god, I hope we didn‘t bring them home. The flat is a catastrophe!! Beside the bedbugs we had only ONE PROBLEM AFTER THE OTHER. First we arrived there with little kid and baby and there was NO WATER at all (in the whole flat!!!) we couldn‘t wash our hands and take a shower after a long trip. :( they repaired it after one hour (thank you). Then there was No battery in the TV controller (my daughter was really sad). And a looot of water run out of the AC. In the morning there was a little pool under the AC… horrible fragrances coming out of the sewersge/bathroom and so on… CATASTROPHE!! No other words for this flat.

Don't touch Italianway firm ...

Our attempt to rent the Italianway-Bergonzoli Place apartments (booking.com) ended in such failure that I would not advise anyone to book through the company "Italianway" - and they represent 5 apartments in different areas of Milan. Having ordered and paid for the order in full, we got there in accordance with the instructions we received (it seemed very far from the central station with 2 trolleys). The apartments are not at all like in the photos - very small and not very clean. But, probably in the 35+ degree heat in Milan we would not have decided to go back, but ... the promised air conditioners in each room were a complete fiction - one air conditioner by the front door, and the other in the bedroom did not work. We called the company and received the answer that everything works and they do not know. When my husband said that their words were not true and they even tried to fix the air conditioner, since it did not have an air conditioner switching unit, the representative admitted that they knew about the breakdown. The company tried to offer us alternative options, but we lost trust in them, and did not want to check the serviceability of their other apartments. Of course, they immediately returned our money. But if they had called in the morning, before our trip in the heat of two adults aged 66 and 74, we could have calmly considered the options. Showing such disrespect and dishonesty is a low level of professionalism that is difficult to accept and forgive. This is the first time I am writing such a negative review - you can just keep quiet. We offered the company to apologize and pay us 100 euros for a taxi. Compensation for our trip there and back to previous hotel (we came back to our last hotel) - this did not happen. We are very disappointed and will avoid booking with the company "Italianway" in Milan. I'm sorry if I affected your plans, but sometimes it's worth learning from other people's mistakes.

Best place to stay near Milano Centrale Station

The apartment was perfect, quite and the air conditioning worked very well.

A soap dish in the shower is needed, so that there is somewhere to put the soap and the shampoo bottle.

Safe neighborhood, gated property and nearby many cheap eateries

- Very safe and quiet location - When you encountered a problem related to key locks to enter the property, the hosts are very responsive when you contact them via Booking.com chats - There are many eateries nearby - There's a cheap pizza parlour named Pizza D'asporto Da Rimon nearby (5 to 6 euro per big box of pizza) - If you are without heavy luggages, this property is actually quite walkable from the main station of Milano Centrale. (But it could be a bit creepy at night but all is well if you have company)

- It's easy to collect the keys from the office, but unlocking the gate to the property is quite tricky. The host might need to provide proper manual (preferably with clear pictures) on how to unlock the gate and provide information on which keycodes is for which lock. - Property is quite far from the public transport if you're with heavy luggages (around 15 minutes by walking) and there are a lot of stairs to reach metro platform. I would suggest you take taxis from the main station if you're traveling with families and heavy luggages (Around 7euro per ride since it's quite near) - If you need a taxi to pick you up in the very early morning, you will have to call/book them yourselves as the property host would not be able to help you with that.
