Villa in the Village

I enjoyed my stay here. This place has everything you could potentially need and it is in a convenient location, in walking distance to the Sandton Gautrain station and the big malls. At night the area is mostly quiet, and if you open the windows in the morning you hear the birds chirping. The communication with the host was good, and I was able to arrange for a late checkout as my flight was in the evening.

The carport is too small for a bigger car next to the neighbor's Bakkie, and the pillars get in the way. You can however park in front of the entry door which I resorted to.

No breakfast but location was very good

Frequent power cut. Not the fault off the apartment owner though. But the village(estate) could come together and get a small and y generator for the estate.

Everything was perfect. Everything one needs and expects in an accommodation was available. The owner is easily reachable and comes out of his way to fix any problem swiftly

There is a pool, but not attached to the property, one has to walk 2min...the weather was a bit cold anyway, therefore didn't use it.

It’s quite close to Sandton City- walking distance and in a quiet neighbourhood.

1. The description of pool is not correct as it gives the impression the apartment has a pool but that’s a shared communal pool which is behind another apartment block - so you walk out of your apartment to go there if you wanted to use it. 2. The sun terrace is great, but the property doesn’t get much sunlight or day light into it as there are 2 big trees that overshadow the property. I couldn’t have breakfast in the sunshine. I found myself having to have lights on most of the day time. The trees could use some trimming to allow sunlight. 3. The TV signal was a bit sketchy although the owner came to try and fix it. Worked for a bit but tube dish needs attention. 4. Would be great to get some clothes detergent tablets thrown in to do at least one or two clothes wash cycles. If you plan on washing clothes take your own or if you’re lucky they have kept what I bought for future users.
