Great location for visiting the South Lakes, and plenty of pubs and cafes fairly nearby. Good breakfasts and lunches available at Yew Tree Barn Antiques center - just outside of the village. It's good to have off-road parking with the cottage. The kitchen at the cottage is well equipped and has all the appliances that you could want. There is a lovely private garden and summer house at the back of the cottage, perfect place to sit and relax after a busy day .
The stairs to the first floor bedroom and bathroom are quite steep and the open stairs to the loft bedroom could be a little tricky for less agile visitors. That said, we are 70+ and we managed them ok, just took great care.

Excellent location - - pity the pub has been closed. I would suggest that the pub details be deleted from the property blurb.
