The Bothy

The Bothy is a large apartment for two people and could well accommodate four adults. We did not need to use the second bedroom or the second bathroom. Key collection instructions were clear. On arrival the Bothy was warm and cosy thanks to underfloor heating. There is also a log burner ready for the colder weather. The Bothy shares a large courtyard with the Lodge opposite so parking and loading / unloading is easy. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of cutlery and crockery and a very welcome dishwasher. There are clear instructions for the oven and induction hob. Wifi was OK and we could use streaming services on our IPad. The TV was fine but had to be used through apps. There was a full size washing machine but no dryer. Location is superb for South and West Lakes. If booking through Booking.com let the owners know your email address so they can send yo the welcome pack. We would have no hesitation to stay again.

Having to use Apps for the TV was a bit of a faff.

Great modern property in a lovely rural location. Great for walks and visiting south lakes area.

A little hard to find at first. Don’t trust the postcode.

The location was perfect for our restful stay with our 2 dogs

Quite dusty, sofa was very uncomfortable. Wi-Fi was poor.
