The Bothy

Great modern property in a lovely rural location. Great for walks and visiting south lakes area.

A little hard to find at first. Don’t trust the postcode.

The location was perfect for our restful stay with our 2 dogs

Everything was great

We loved the location of the Bothy. It's 15/20 minutes walk to the southern end of Windermere Lake. All other Windermere locations a easy drive away. If U want a more quieter walk then opt for the west coast of Windermere. The East Coast can get very busy. The Bothy itself was great & the owners communication via text was available whenever we needed anything. The TV has fully Subscribed Netflix & Prime Video too. (maybe others, but those two were enough) The bothy has two bathrooms with a shower & toilet in each. I'd have loved a bath but unfortunately there's not one at the bothy. There's a washing machine in the smaller bathroom & a dishwasher in the kitchen. There's a wood burning heater too, although we didn't need to use it. The bothy has underfloor heating too. Outside there's a BBQ too if U want to use it. I'd recommend it to anyone who values a bit of an escape & lots of peace & quite..

There was nothing wrong with the bothy. If you'd had to push me on a negative I'd have liked a bath.

Property was in a beautiful location . Really clean and comfortable with modern amenities but still felt like a cosy cottage. Lovely log burner if It had been cold. Plenty of tea , coffee, even supplied shampoo, conditioner and body wash . Toys and treats for dogs was really thoughtful.

Can’t fault anything.
