Absolutely stunning - the room and its amenities were period accurate, the grounds were spacious and well kept. The wall of complimentary movies and games were a welcome addition to the stay. THE SPA BATH - I could rave, and I will - it could fit two people comfortably, the jets worked great and the complimentary bath salts and individual soaps were of amazing quality. The view over Launceston was picturesque - and in the breakfast room shone even on our wet and windy days there. The breakfast bunches per room were a smorgasbord of milks, spreads, eggs, muesli and yoghurt - refreshed daily. AND if you didn’t like them they had so many alternatives to chose from. It is a communal congregation for breakfast at the glorious period 13 seat table - but the basket encouraged portability to the room for something more secular. We had some good conversations with other guests at this time :) The rooms guide book was chock full of FAQ and helpful places for Launceston, and there were labels throughout the whole house and experience to guide you if needed. I loved that the location was VERY discreet for a property as large as this one -with low street noise .

The only thing that was a bit of a challenge for us was fitting through the driveway to the property. Tucked away at the end of a very hilly nondescript dead end street on an angle, absolutely doable, but at late night with low light could possibly clip the sides of some bigger vehicles.

We loved everything about our stay here! The bed was super comfy and the room so cosy! Loved the little breakfast trays and so much work had gone into the online guide about the area it made exploring so easy! Can’t wait to stay at the Dragonfly again!

Nice old mansion in convenient position

Not for me to have no contact and do everything myself with written instructions everywhere on where to find breakfast, how to use the egg boiler, where and how to clear up after myself etc. Owned by two accountants and it felt like it . very orderly .
