Welcome to Graupzig
Our apartment is located in Saxony. The atmosphere around the house can help you find a quiet location and the beautiful large garden to forget your everyday life. Relaxing, healthy air and away from traffic. Families with children are welcome.
The lodging of 98 sqm offers after an exciting day trip full relaxation. On the big bed in the fireplace room, you can make yourself comfortable while watching a movie (satellite TV) or reading a book. Many games for young and old alike await you in the play area. In the garden you can relax in warm weather deck chair.
If you are in the mood for holiday cooking, so it will give you u with fresh herbs, fruit. Vegetables, depending on the season, from our garden fun prepare (ecological).
4 burner stove with oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle will be your assistant. The spacious kitchen offers freedom of movement.
In the dining room, which is equipped with 'Danish wood furniture', your family breakfast, lunch u can. Taking dinner. Our homemade jams and fruit liqueurs are a culinary delight. We spoil you with our bread service. A large bathroom is at your disposal, which is equipped with hairdryer and some toiletries.
The two bedroom, also 'Danish wood furniture' are not next to each other. Their equipment is tuned stylish and harmonious. Quality mattresses are the cause for a comfortable sleep. Guests of all ages are welcome. The holiday home is for rent all year round and on public holidays. For Christmas is a Christmas tree in the living room and there are delicious surprises.

We had a very lovely stay. The lady of the house was very nice and very helpfull. The house had everything We needed and was spacious. Great garden and quiet neigbourhood.

We stayed as a couple for two weeks in Graupzig. The holiday appartment, at first floor, has plenty of space, is furnished very very complete, and was well cleaned. Bedroom was not at south/sun side, so relatively cool, which was nice in this very warm summer. In front of the house you can sit well at the common yard, you also have a private and quiet small terras at the back of the house, surrounded by lovely green. And finally you can sit quietly in the huge, common garden, with plenty of shadow trees if you like.
Every early morning miss Traute did put a basket with fresh bread in front of our door, always accompanied with a nice surprise, such as fresh eggs (from her own, many chickens), vegetables or home made marmelade. Great service.
Graupzig is surrounded by immense cornfields. Wide panoramic views, small but good roads, very nice country side. Several restaurants at some 20+ minutes drive, alas many were closed during season (!) or open only couple of days week, so do check websites upfront!
Dresden is bit more as half an hour by car. Leipzig is over an hour. If you do not have the obliged green city entrance sticker (for Leipzig), my advice is to go by train for the last few miles, e.g. from Borsdorf. Free car parking near small station, 20 min by train to central station and only €6 pp for round trip. Sticker for foreigners if not buyed upfront is much more expensive and very complicated to get in Germany.
So, we had a very nice holiday, thank you Traute being such a good hostess. My only suggestion for her would be to avoid talking too much (conservative) politics with your guests, all the rest is perfect!

This holiday home near Meissen is georgeous! The decoration is lovely and there is everything you could need in the way of equipment. Traute and her family made us feel so welcome and we had lots of gifts of garden produce! As an example of Traute's thoughtfulness, I was holidaying with my friend and her husband - Traute put a little stuffed toy on the other half of my bed so that I wasn't sleeping alone! The location is very quiet but only about 20 minutes from Meissen and from there we caught the train to Dresden a couple of times - so much less stressful. Lots of other places within easy reach which we couldn't get to as we were only there for a week. We loved it!
