It was smelly. It obviously used to be a smoking flat. Even our clothes became stinking.

Disgusting

The accommodation was disgusting, we have taken several photos, this is not suitable for families, 33 degrees over the weekend a heated towel rail was on continuously couldn’t switch off it was dangerous and hanging off the wall. Kitchen cabinets had broken door handles with screws sticking out we had a toddler who could have easily had a bad accident. Converted flat terrible smell from downstairs tenants rubbish piled up outside property stinking in the heat with flys. Phoned landlord very rude and totally unhelpful, stayed only one night slept on floor in lounge with two young children, checked out next morning and re booked somewhere else. Booking totally misleading disgusting accommodations horrible area. Advertised as luxury apartments was a converted flat in a run down area dirty smelly and dangerous for children.

This accommodation is not a luxury apartment it is a flat in a run down area, dirty smelly and a total con, totally unstable for families with young children, dangerous boiling towel rail hanging of the wall unable to switch off during a 33 degree heat wave, broken fan kitchen door knobs missing screws sticking out of doors, storage heaters rusty and dirty bathrooms not clean. Didn’t stay! Landlubbers rude and unhelpful.

Just a minor detail. One of the bedrooms didn't have anywhere to place clothes etc. Limited space, so I don't know the solution.

Trip

The property was in a good area,easy access to most the surrounding area and easy to get out of Southampton to the beach etc. Within walking distance to quite a few shops and pubs/restaurants and a couple of parks.

The cleanliness of the property wasn’t up to standards. We found 2 pairs of female underwear below where the spare bed was which isn’t something you’d expect to find. The beds weren’t very comfortable at all, every morning we would each wake up and find some sort of pain in our body from where we’d slept and just had a spring stabbing us. We were excited to see that there was an Xbox 360 with some old games that we were looking forward to play until we noticed there weren’t any batteries for the controllers and only 1 would’ve been usable anyway.

The photos are misleading. The place was filthy and we ended up cleaning the bathroom with bleach to get rid of the mould. The beds were in desperate need of replacing The fridge And oven had not been cleaned and there were cobwebs in the hallway. The place smelt awful just like someone had been smoking in there and tried to disguise it. The housekeeping manager was pleasant enough (as was Samantha) but I’m not sure that he knew what clean meant. He also come into the flat without a mask ( or even asking if he should) He promised various things which did not get done and it took two days to get a key to the back door. After he left it made us wonder how well their Covid protocols had been followed. Plates were cracked and chipped and the central strut of the cupboard was broken. Parking was more difficult than we were lead to believe, thank goodness the large primary school opposite was closed. The smell persisted, the beds caused me considerable back ache to the point where we decide to leave early. All this following a 7 page t&c’s document which stated all our obligations. There would need to be major changes before I would even rate it
