Hotel Kinich Ahau

The place is comfortable, breakfast is good. The person in charge is kind and nice person to talk to. The place was clean and people were quiet, and respectfull. Swimming pool was clean (although we did not use it). Location is a bit far from the city center, but it is something we knew when we booked, we walked to there and took us 10-15 mins walk. Because of this, you will find real mexican places to eat with tasty food and none tourist prices. We did feel safe in that area.

Breakfast could be a bit more bigger. There was a rooster in the land next to the hotel which woke us early morney every day. Sometimes 4 am, but usually 7 am. There were also loud music playing nearby, but this was only for a day, it seems it was a celebration in the area. .

Convenient location, across the street from a local Walmart where we bought bottle water cheap. The host Pablo was very nice and helpful. He cooked us breakfast in the early morning per our request.

Room had the smell of dampness but with air conditioning running it was better later. The shower head could be upgraded because water was spread widely that you didn’t feel much water spraying.

It’s a lovely property in a really great location - walking distance to everything you’ll want access to while in town. The room is very clean and the bed is super comfy! I unfortunately didn’t have time to use the pool, but it is also very clean and well maintained. Last but not least, Pablo is wonderful! He is so kind and welcoming, and offered recommendations/assistance when needed. Every night, he confirmed what time I’d like breakfast, which consisted of tea, fruit, toast, and my choice of eggs any style, quesadilla, or pancakes. He’s a great cook!
