Picturesque Hanoi Homestay

I liked absolutely everything but I'll give detail like my other reviews on this trip. The location is an easy walk to the night market and about two minutes from the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre but set back enough from main roads that it is completely quiet. The rooms and building are exactly like the photos and are in excellent shape and perfectly clean. We had a family room with three beds and there was a nice table and four comfortable chairs. Our friends had a room with a patio. The shower was separated from the rest of the bathroom by a wall so there was no floor flooding. The showerhead was removable. Lots of cupboard and table space (maybe some extra towel hooks on the back of the bathroom door would help but nothing else was needed). Most of the outdoor patio/lobby/breakfast area was covered and nicely decorated. There was a supply of drinkable water at cold, hot or normal available in the lobby to cut down on plastic bottle use as well as an extra WC. The two people who couldn't eat gluten still had eggs, fruit and commercial fruit juice or milk, along with tea or coffee any time. There were umbrellas for guest use and a staff member ran after me to give me one because it was starting to rain as I left.The host spoke English very well and was charming. He arranged taxis for pickup from the airport and drop-off at the train station at a reasonable cost. Laundry reasonably priced and done the next day. This location looks great, is perfectly designed and spacious.

Apart from a couple extra towel hooks being needed, nothing.

huge rooms and great air conditioner, good shower, good beds

it's more a cafeteria and souvenir shop than a hotel, one of the ladies was really nice and the host was okay, but none of them spoke English. Beds were good but only had one sheet to cover yourself so with the air conditioner all night, felt like we needed more that a sheet.

The apartments was clean and comfortable . We found the location was perfect for exploring Hanoi, very near beer, food and hoan kiem lake. 1st floor has a cute souvenir shop for quick buy. They even offer free taste coffee.
