Nestled on a sandy dune, just a few easy steps from beautiful Lake Michigan, Blue View Cottage is a perfect family retreat. A vintage A frame, it's been completely renovated to house 8 people comfortably. It maintains a rustic charm, while providing brand new amenities.
Surrounded by sandy dunes and forests for exploring and hiking, Blue View provides easy access to all of the glory of Great Lakes activities, swimming in the clean clear water, fishing, boating, glorious sunsets and campfires on the beach. Loads of adventures await young and old alike in the villages of Pentwater and Silver Lake.
The cottage has whitewashed rafters, rustic barn floors, a new kitchen with farmhouse sink and finishes. Two cozy queen bedrooms look out on the sand dunes downstairs and Lake Michigan upstairs. There is also an upstairs bedroom that sleeps four in new twin beds.
The original Knotty Pine living room looks out on a deck and a short flat path to Lake Michigan. Both upstairs and downstairs decks provide panoramic views of the lake, perfect for watching freighters, sailboats and glorious sunsets.
Beach is never overly busy even on holiday weekends. Occasionally owners use the adjacent beach when visiting their cottage located up the dune. Second cottage may be available groups of more than eight, contact owners if you need more space.

We plan a trip every year to the area. This was a great spot for our family and helped us have a great time. Cant beat the location on the beach!

This was a wonderful stay. The beach was great and the upper deck had a beautiful view. The upper bedrooms do have steep stairs so be aware if anyone in your group has limited mobility. Our dog even got in on the fun and had her first swim. Highly recommend this place!

Once again, our star at Blueview was more than we could ask for. Steps away from the greatest beach in the world, this rustic cottage has everything you need. A short drive from Pentwater and Silver Lake if you need an excuse to get out, but we spent our week in the warm waters of Lake Michigan. Pat and Diana were gracious hosts and check in was smooth and simple. We look forward to more stays at Blueview in the coming years.
