The cottage was beautiful, clean and comfy. It had everything you need, i must admit i took my own frying pan as from past experience from other air B&Bs this has been a personal bug bear for me (I like a decent frying pan) but other than that we used all the kitchen utensils, pot and pans.
The cottage did not smell of dog atall even though you can have them there, we took our little scrumpy and he absolutely loved it especially the garden. The views are amazing.
There is aldi, lidle and tesco literally 6 minutes drive away.
The beaches which are also really close are beautiful.
We had a lovy stay and would definitely return.
Bryn was really good at communicating too.
The bathroom, it was damp and smelt of damp, not enough to put us off and we realised if you keep the window open the smell isn't as bad.

Super location, very cosy, clean and comfortable cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Lovely garden, quiet and peaceful area with easy access to main roads, Criccieth and Porthmadog as well as the mountains and beaches. Great off road parking for 2 cars. Host provided fresh milk and Welsh Cakes on arrival which was very thoughtful especially after a long drive! Would recommend and will be back again.

We spent a long weekend at Dolwar in September 2025. The bungalow had plenty of space for us and our two dogs, with secure garden, and is close to both Eryri National Park and lots of beaches on the Llyn peninsula for walking and days out. Amenities and shops in Porthmadog are just a 5 minute drive. The bungalow is equipped with everything we needed for a self catering holiday.
The beds were not the comfiest but fine for a short stay.

The property had a well kept large and secure garden that my dog very much enjoyed. There was p[lenty of outdoor seating for us too. There was everything we needed provided. The living room was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped although the main oven door had been broken prior to our arrival but this did not impact our stay as we only ate breakfast at the cottage.
The cottage was in a great location, very quiet and peaceful. The drive had a gate and there was space for one car.
My brother and I really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come again.
We both enjoyed our stay greatly so the things I am saying here are really only minor issues but it might help the owners to address these for future guests.
We did not get the access code by text on the day of arrival. I had to ring the owners when we were almost there to get the code.
The bed in the front room was very soft and although it had a mattress topper on it I could feel the lumpy springs through it.
There was a lot of dog hair in the cottage before we arrived. We found white dog hair on our clothes every time we sat down in the living room (my dog is brown). Charging £5 a night for each dog to stay meant that I expected the cottage to be pretty clean.
The cultery and crockery was not particularly clean. We had to wash everything before we used it.

Cottage was lovely and spacious in a peaceful setting.
A little bit too far away from the beach, so we had to drive everywhere.

Brilliant enclosed large garden. A fabulous, quaint cottage (clearly a family home) well equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom. Lots of natural light from large windows. Plenty of room and decent Wi-Fi signal. Love the fact it is dog friendly and had Netflix. Bryn was very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely choose to stay here again.
Would suggest mattresses in 2 rooms need replacing (in my opinion) but other than that it was fabulous. Our girls said they could feel the springs in the master bedroom mattress, and in the bedroom behind the master bedroom, it was not very comfy (but I’m used to memory foam) so might just be me. Smallest bedroom mattress was very comfy think this was a newer mattress.

The garden was fabulous for a family and the location was ideal. The house was clean and good value for money. There was plenty of space inside and a modern bathroom. The hosts responded quickly to contact and were helpful.
Some areas were a little tired such as the 3rd bedroom which could do with a freshen up.

Lovely comfortable traditional cottage. A real home away from home. 3 bedrooms all with double beds. Fully equipped kitchen. Good location, Porthmadog approx. 10 min drive & Criccieth 5 mins - both in walking distance if you like a walk. Lovely, peaceful and spacious garden. Has everything you need for a short or long stay. I would highly recommend.

Cottage clean and tidy. Host Bryn kindly answered any questions promptly and messaged to say the cottage was ready for us. Easy parking right in front of the cottage, always a bonus.
Pentrefelin has some lovely walks with one short walk to the nearby isolated church of St Cynhaearn's which was fantastic.
Criccieth, Porthmadog and Portmeirion all close to hand.
Bus stop round the corner on the main road if required.
Nothing much really.

It’s a cute little Welsh cottage in a great location. we had everything we needed, including extras such as board games, and the beds were super comfy. The kids really enjoyed it and we could just chill out when not visiting the beautiful welsh countryside.
Damage had been done to the porch before the stay, which I appreciate was not the owners fault, but it did make it a little awkward as we had to use the back door. We didn’t use the garden much as it was cold, but if we had of done, I’d have been concerned about some aspects such as a cement mixer left on the property, some old building materials and some pipe work sticking out of the ground. it’s a lovely garden, nice and secure, but could do with a little tidy up for the summer. We didn’t have much contact from the hosts, just short replies to any questions. With the damage that had been done, a little check in would have been nice.

Lovely location, very homey, good selection of books and board games, good contact from hosts. Will definitely be back, the perfect family holiday cottage!
Beds were a bit springy, possibly slightly old mattresses

Lovely cottage in a great location. Nicely presented, and clean.
Cutlery and bed in the main bedroom let the cottage down.

What a great place, Quiet, comfortable and spacious. I travelled with my 86 yr old uncle and he was over the moon that the little cottage was so user friendly for him. The shower in particular and the ease of access to the property was very good. The property was easy to find about 3 miles or so from Porthmadog and the heritage railways.
everything was fine nothing comes to mind

We loved the location which made it easy to get to Criccieth, Porthmadog, etc. The gardens were beautiful with plenty of places to sit and relax, as well as room for the dogs to run around safely. (Make sure you close the wrought iron gates properly before you let dogs out.) The view across the road was beautiful too. We took the dogs for a walk each day and there was so much to see. Paths are easily accessible and we even managed to all walk into Criccieth one day, have a coffee at Dylan's and an Italian ice cream from the little Gelato truck. There are plenty of places to eat and drink as well as supermarkets a short drive away.
This spacious house has everything you need to make it a home from home and is very comfortable- there was even some milk and a packet of biscuits on arrival.
The kitchen is well-equipped, with an electric oven, microwave, 2-slice toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer and washing machine, but no dryer. There was a handy hoover for giving the place a quick once-over.
Each of the three bedrooms has a cozy double bed which makes for a great night's sleep.
The house is on one level, making it accessible for people with mobility issues, although there are a few steps leading to the front door which my Dad was extra careful with. There are handles at the front door and in the bathroom, as well as a walk in shower. The lounge and dining room are well set out with space for 6 people to sit comfortably. The TV is a great size with the capability to watch netflix if you have an account.
Outside is a rotary washing line and plenty of pegs which is in a perfect place to dry clothes as the sun is still in that section of the day by early evening.
Communication with the owner is great. They get back to you in less than 24hrs if you message them.
The bathroom could do with a hook or two for clothing/towel whilst showering and a lock for privacy.
We were lucky to have quite warm weather or we'd have struggled to dry everything from a day walking/at the beach. I know a dryer adds expense, but it would be worth it for the ease of warm, dry clothes.
We had two dogs with us, neither of them sheds, the dog before ours definitely did and I had to hoover the dining room edges on arrival.
A sign with details of how much to pay per dog and where to leave the money would be helpful.

The cottage was beautiful especially the garden. The bedrooms were surprisingly large and all rooms were extremely clean. Location was ideal as a base for visiting surrounding areas. Felt very secluded. Would highly recommend.
The only neg comment I can think of is the bedroom handle was falling off - which didn't bother us really as we didn't close the door. Also there could have been a hook on the back of the shower room door so we could hang up our clothes as the floor could get quite wet after showering. But honestly I am not complaining. The cottage was amazing and would quite happily go there again.

That the owner said that I had to pay £5 per day for the dog in cash to be left at property. this wasn’t told to me at time of booking.
