About this cottage rental

Fantastic view of Moel y Gest located in Criccieth, Llyn Peninsula. WiFi. TV, CS & DVD player. Short walk to local amenities. Storage for bike/canoe.

Such a comfy holiday house, with lovely views towards Moel Y Gest. Once the home of former Prime Minister David Lloyd George, who lived at Morfin from the age of 16 for ten years. As a solicitor he had his first office in what is now the dining room!

"Morfin is in a great location, just a short walk to the beach, Ice cream parlour and restaurants, you can't help but enjoy staying in Criccieth all year round"
Within a short walk from Morfin you can enjoy Criccieth's interesting individual shops, galleries, good restaurants and cafes. One of the best fish and chip shops in North Wales is just up the road, as is the famous Cadwalader's Ice Cream.
Morfin is peaceful, calm and relaxing, with soft colours and interesting bits and bobs. I love the lamp in the dining room and the David Lloyd George corner on the landing where you can sit and soak up the view or quietly read a book.
A comfy Victorian house in a delightful Victorian seaside town.

Amenities: WiFi. TV, CD & DVD player, bed linen and towels provided, central heating, fridge with ice compartment, washing machine, dishwasher, enclosed garden, garden furniture, secure garage, bike/canoe storage, on road parking. Views of Moel y Gest. Short walk to local amenities. Although garden is enclosed it isn't dog proof, young children should also be supervised. 2 well behaved dogs welcome.

Town: Often described as the 'Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia’, this delightful seaside town is situated just 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town’s 13th century castle perches majestically on a rocky outcrop, dominating the skyline and offering superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. Watersports enthusiasts will be delighted by the two beaches, whilst walkers and bikers are spoilt for choice by the proximity of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Stroll along the beaches, watch porpoises playing in the surf, or relax in the various pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, sampling the famous Cadwalader’s ice cream. Further afield, attractions such as Portmeirion’s wonderful Italianate gardens, the Ffestiniog railway in Porthmadog, Harlech Castle, Caernarfon Castle and the beautiful beaches and renowned golf courses of the Llyn Peninsula are all within an easy drive.
