About this apartment rental
Recently renovated unit that easily stands out from other 2 bedroom units in the area! Don't settle on your next vacation, choose a unit that's made the upgrades you want, but still has the relaxed beach feel you travel this way for. Breath taking views of the Gulf of America with private access to the beach. The building offers two gulf front community heated pools, gulf front community BBQ grills (charcoal), tennis courts, pickleball courts, underground assigned parking, bike storage, lobby and a gym. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available in units storage room. Walking distance to restaurants and much more. Concierge check in and localized management.
Please be aware that after we accept your booking request, you will be receiving an email from The Somerset association for you to fill out their HOA form. This form has a non refundable fee of $150.
During May 1 - October 31 Renters see below in regards to Turtle Season
"Lessee [or substitute “Tenant” or “Renter” for “Lessee” everywhere that word appears in this paragraph, based on the term used in your Lease] acknowledges and understands that the period from May 1 through October 31 each year is Sea Turtle Nesting Season. Lessee agrees to Turn Off balcony lights before 9:00 p.m. and to close the drapes or window treatments of all windows facing the Gulf to minimize the projection of interior lights as any such lights may disorient an adult or newly hatched Sea Turtle. Lessee understands that the Turtles are endangered and protected by Federal Law. Substantial fines can be levied against the occupant/owner by law enforcement for violations of ordinances protecting Turtles. Lessee agrees to reimburse Owner for payment of the Fines imposed for violations during Lessee’s occupancy and for the reasonable legal defense costs incurred."

Everything was perfect! Condo fully stocked with everything we needed. Balcony gorgeous and nice furniture. Beds super comfortable. Property is spotless, pool area clean and bathrooms too. Easy access to everything and parking was convenient and so were location of elevators and the storage unit to get the beach chairs. Owners were extremely attentive and communicative the entire process!! Thank you again for a perfect stay in Marco!

The Somerset is great and the location is perfect! This specific unit is mostly ok, but I can't say it was great. There are 2 aspects that hold me back from a 5 star review. These are easily remedied for future renters and I only bring these up in an effort to help improve the rental.1. This is important for parents! Security. The primary bedroom suite is located at the back of the condo (with a beautiful view of the Gulf). However, the spare bedroom (likely a room where children would sleep) is immediately off of the front entrance. This alone isn't great but would be manageable IF the security of the door wasn't questionable. The door has only a key lock - no guard lock or keypad. We noticed this was the only condo on that floor that didn't have a keypad. Other vrbo rentals have allowed provided us with a unique key code ensuring we are the only people who have access to the unit. 2. The ability to do laundry while we travel is non-negatable, we chose this rental for that reason. Unfortunately this washing machine regularly got stuck on "soak", which meant our clothes sat for extended periods of time in standing water. When I'd attempt to run a "spin and drain" the machine would malfunction. We figured it out but most of our clothes came home dirty or still full of soap. I'm assuming this has been an ongoing issue as most of the towels in the condo smelled of mildew.

Host was great, had a few hiccups tho 1 with washing machine and could have used more water and wine glasses. Also it was a mystery to operate the TV. Finally just streamed from my phone and I Pad. However, when an issue arose it was handled promptly efficiently.

Our stay went perfect. Location excellent- close to restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. On the beach, beautiful views. Would stay there again.
