The Box Paradise Cottage

Very were very staff, they were very welcome. The hostel is great, the rooms are big and extra point for the bathroom who’s amazing. Big pool and u can rent motorbike directly from the hostel.

Wonderful, friendly and helpful family-run business. Always hospitable and ready to help with transport and bookings. Breakfast was very good. Charming cottage and grounds. Good restaurants nearby. Quieter and more relaxing than Bali. Simple but sufficient accommodation.

Pool needed chlorination. Cottages share a wall so you can hear the people next door in the bathroom. Slippery bathroom floor. No safe, but a lockable drawer provided. Nearest swimming/snorkelling beach is a fair distance away.

Unfortunately not a lot I can say.

Where do I start….. Cleanliness- O. The sheets needed changing on arrival as it looked like a bird had soiled on them. The fridge was visibly dirty both inside and out, it actually stank. The bathroom doesn’t appear to be cleaned, mould growing all over. Stains down the door. Cockroaches were a regular appearance in the room. The pool also needed cleaning. Breakfast - wasn’t really upto much. Location - Few small bars and restaurants (not the best) but for anything more you’d have to be willing to travel. Due to the build of the cottage’s they amplify sound. You can hear all of the local temple’s, street noises and dogs clearly howling in distress and barking. The noise from the temple was intolerable and went on late into the night, if we knew this was a regular thing we would not have booked to stay here.
