A perfect base for exploring locally and further afield, with every possible comfort.

The location of the bothy was perfect, with easy access to walks and to the town on the doorstep. We were also close to everything we wanted to do in the local area. Our hosts were also very welcoming and helpful. The bothy was beautifully decorated and furnished too, with everything you needed for a short stay. It felt like a real home from home.

Perfect accommodation in a perfect location!

Perfect location , much bigger than the photos depict. Perfect temperature, excellent shower and literally had everything we needed for our stay. Karen was an excellent host and provided us with lots of super recommendations. Outstanding walks literally on your doorstep, plus 5 minutes to local pubs , cafes and shops. Our dogs were also made to feel welcome and had an enclosed space to be kept safe. Do not hesitate to book this place!

The Bothy was fantastic and a perfect fit for us and our cockapoo , thanks for the freshly baked bread , milk and coffee it was much appreciated , everything inside is high quality and spacious, it’s also a 2 minute walk from all the local amenities of Grantown and a short drive for Aviemore and local whisky distillery’s The Cairn and Tomatin. We will definitely be passing this place onto friends and family for future use.

A short break wasn't long enough in this property and location. Very hi spec, welcoming and comfortable. Everything you could need and more. The information about local facilities and suggestions was much appreciated. Also a welcome hospitality pack was unexpected but fab.

Great location; great views; useful design features

Having the owners in an adjacent building is a reassurance in case of any questions about utilities, questions on how things work etc. Bumped into them outside on day 2 and had a nice chat - they were very helpful with local recommendations. The bothy is immaculately presented with lots of well thought-out design features to make life easier. Well equipped kitchen with more tools and appliances than we could use in a few days! Parking conveniently next to bothy building. For a small town, Grantown has great dining options on offer: the hosts had all the menus ready in a folder and the businesses themselves are only a 10 minute walk away on the town's high street. I'll remember the stay for some great exercise out in the hills each day followed by top nosh in the evening.

An absolute gem 💎 and beautiful bothy done to the highest of standards, immaculately spotless with everything you could possibly need for a well equipped and superb stay. Beautful welcome hamper & card and even one for Max! Lovely owners and we extremely highly recommended to all. Stunning area with local amenities. The co op an absolute delight and lovely forest walks in walking distance. Thankyou so much to Karen & Neil.

The hosts were really welcoming and friendly - the homemade bread and jam in the property on arrival were delicious. The Bothy was beautifully decorated and clean and had everything that we needed . Just outside the door were fantastic walks for our dog. In the small garden attached to the property, there were strawberries and rhubarb growing. I only found out afterwards (by looking on the Bothy website) that I could have eaten them. I wish that I'd known, because I would have!

The property next door is currently being built, so it is a building site. However, this did not affect our stay in the Bothy - the windows have vertical slatted blinds which you can half close so you can't see it.

Location ideal for exploring around. Bothy was very comfortable and of an excellent standard. Karen had kindly left some useful provisions including milk. The local Restuarants are well worth trying.
