Davison Cottage Hole in the Wall

It had everything we needed! The kitchen is well stocked. From baking goods to big mixing bowls. Lots of fridge and freezer space. Its well set up for a big family (we were 3 couples and a baby) We felt safe at all times. Towels and cleaning things were provided despite the message saying you have to bring your own. Corrina - the housekeeper is an absolute gem. The rooms could do with an aircon - it was so hot and humid at night. The fan provided just took the edge off. The view from the deck is the best part! Its perfectly located.

The wooden deck needs some attention.

It is very well located with a great view of the ocean.

We had troubles with power and water supply during our stay. It made the stay a lot uncomfortable.

Location is amazing. The cottage is comfortable and well kept. The cleaning lady is an absolute darling and she is very helpful.

The toilet flushers need to be replaced and the lounge, dining area is a little cramped. We hardly made use of the lounge area.

The view. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, dishwashing liquid. Handwash in all bathrooms. Good beds and neat bedding

The host informed us a few days prior to our arrival that one bedroom is outside. One set of keys for unit and gate.People outside get locked out of the main building. Empty boxes and Only 2 fans for a 10 sleeper unit.Hard uncomfortable furniture outside and lounge. Maid services are an additional charge. Maid allows unwanted guests onto property who were then engaging in personal conversations with my young girls.No easy access into and out of property with one gate key.My child even got scraped with the rusty chain on gate. Must pay a refundable deposit. When I complaining about the fans Patricia tells me guests were stealing them so if deposits are paid could she not replace fans. We paid R11400 . I also booked Wild bay for the same period for family and paid R 8400 which included daily maid service and no breakage deposit was required. We were also allowed to visit family at their unit which is on the same fenced property however no one was allowed to visit us as per Patricia's instructions. Note Beach cottage was also booked by another family member and when they were not happy with the unit the host happily moved them to Uberkei cottage. Patricia needs to understand that her cottage needs alot improvements as well as her attitude. She charges premium rate and offers shoddy service. The helper came in at 7 the morning and sat waited for us to rush and exit. No patience for us to leave then come in to clean. The people around harrassed us and told us to go back to Phoenix. This info was shared by the helper as she discussed with us she knows Phoenix..esp the area Goolams.There is so much we were unhappy with. It's definitely not a unit I would recommend but I would definitely recommend Wild Bay and the helper Natasha.
