This honestly felt like our own little piece of heaven. The setting is absolutely incredible — peaceful and secluded high above the ocean, with views that are difficult to put into words. We were lucky enough to be there during the sardine run and watched whales and dolphins from the property, which was an unforgettable experience.
The house itself is spacious and full of character, with a huge lounge, a wonderfully well-equipped kitchen and an amazing braai area overlooking the ocean. It really has everything you could possibly need, and being able to walk down to the beach made the location even more special. We also loved all the personal touches, artwork and mosaics throughout the house.
Our host was fantastic — friendly, helpful and reassuring, particularly after we had heard so many warnings about travelling through the Transkei. We followed her sensible advice and never felt unsafe during our stay or our travels in the area.
This was easily one of the highlights of our entire trip. An incredibly special place that we would absolutely love to return to.
