Wake up to breathtaking views of the Mackinac Bridge, Bois Blanc Island, and Mackinac Island right from your backyard! With 150 feet of private beachfront, there’s plenty of space for family and friends to gather, for kids to explore, and for everyone to enjoy peaceful lakefront living.
This spacious lake house features 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 13 guests. Perfect for a couple getaway or a multi-family retreat.

Downstairs:
•Master bedroom with a king bed and water views
•Custom-built “Kids Bunkhouse”
•Twin bedroom with lake views
•Both bathrooms located on the lower level
Upstairs:
•Oversized bedroom with two custom-built queen-over-twin bunks and a window overlooking Lake Huron
•Second bedroom with a cozy queen bed
Nestled among mature trees, the property offers plenty of privacy and parking for additional vehicles, boats, or snowmobiles. Guests also have access to a spare garage.
Nearby Adventures:
Across the street is the main snowmobile trail off US 23, which is perfect for biking, walking, or running during the summer and fall. Follow it to Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park, located just four miles away, or head ten minutes into Mackinaw City to catch a ferry to the islands.
Whether you are exploring shipwrecks, relaxing by the fire pit on the beach, or ziplining through the trees at Mill Creek, Island View Shores is the perfect place to create memories that will last a lifetime.
Seasonal Details:
Summer stays require a seven-night minimum, Friday to Friday.
There is no air conditioning in the home, but cool lake breezes and open windows provide nature’s perfect air conditioning.
Pet Policy:
Well-behaved dogs are welcome with a non-refundable fee of $50 per dog and a signed Dog Agreement. However, dogs that are allowed on furniture or beds at home are not permitted to stay at Island View Shores. To maintain the home’s cleanliness and comfort for all guests, pets must stay off all furniture and bedding at all times.

Good location for Mackinaw City. Quiet and away from the hotel crowds but not too bad of a drive to town.

We recently stayed at this property, and while there were some positives, the experience overall did not meet our expectations—especially considering the cost.Pros:• Great location in a peaceful setting• Beautiful scenery all around• The house was very clean and well-keptCons:• No air conditioning – We only found this out through an email a week before our trip. For the amount we paid, AC should absolutely be included. This alone made the stay uncomfortable and not worth the cost.• Safety concerns in the backyard – The deck has no railing, and five of our kids fell off it. It was also difficult for some family members to get down safely due to the lack of proper steps or handrails.• Small and understocked kitchen – The kitchen was very tight, realistically only allowing one person in at a time. It was also understocked, especially in terms of silverware, which wasn’t sufficient for our group.• Only one TV – There was just a single television in the entire house, which felt inadequate for a rental property of this size in today’s day and age, especially when traveling with a group or family.• Beach access – While scenic, the beach is very rocky in the water and not kid-friendly for swimming.• Outdoor pests – There were a lot of flies and bugs outside, which made it hard to enjoy the outdoor space. We recommend bringing lavender oil or bug repellent if you plan to stay.We’re glad we tried this location but will not be returning.
