Pension La Catedral

We were grateful to be within walking distance of the cathedral, but just far away enough that it was quiet and we weren’t disturbed by the late night partying in the old town.

The facilities were great, however, the room and double bed is quite small for two people. But it is ok for a one night stay. The staff were welcoming, however, we were a bit concerned by their lack of response to our messages when our train into Leon was delayed and we were concerned that we would arrive after the check-in time.

The location was good. A short walk to the cathedral. Several local bars and a grocery store located nearby.

I was in a single room located on the ground floor. Since the building does not have air conditioning, you must keep your window open to allow for some air circulation, though that was minimal too because there was no cross ventilation. The bigger problem was that the window opens to a sidewalk on a busy street. Lots of foot and automobile traffic day and night. One night at around 10:30 PM there was a motorcycle revving it's engine less than 6 feet from my window!
