About this apartment rental
Completely remodeled, our 1,300 square foot Cascade Village condo (Unit 352) less then 2 miles north of Purgatory Ski Area. Features 3 bedrooms/2 baths, full kitchen, electric fireplace and private deck. The condo is fully furnished and offers all the comforts of home (including washer/dryer, hair dryers, slow cooker and blender). Note the 3rd bedroom with bunk beds is accessed via the master bathroom upstairs.
Bed Configuration:
Master Bedroom - King with Ensuite Bath and TV(Upstairs)
2nd Bedroom - Queen with TV (Main Level)
3rd Bedroom - Single over Single Bunk Beds with TV- Access is via the master bathroom upstairs.
Pull out queen sofa in main living space (TV)
Please note, due to HOA regulations, this unit, and all of the units at Cascade Village, are NOT pet friendly. Also, trailers are not allowed.
As with all properties in the area, the condo does not have AC. Given the day times highs are rarely above 80 while the lows are in the 40s. Open the windows after the sun is behind the mountains and then close them in the morning along with the blinds that face west. This will keep the house plenty cool.
Cascade Village is less than 2 miles north of Purgatory Resort, 26 miles (less than 30 minutes) north of Durango and 25 miles south of Silverton (less than 30 minutes). Free on-site amenities at Cascade Village including an indoor heated pool, sauna, outdoor/indoor hot tubs, pool table, outdoor tennis court, ski rental shop & (with discounts).
Purgatory offers a complimentary ski shuttle to our Cascade rental guests on a set schedule 1-2 times in the AM and PM during the ski season, on a first come first serve basis. Details will be provided in your rental instructions.
All of the Cascade Village units are equipped with reliable Fiber Optic internet service with an average internet speed of up to 50 Mbps and guests can stream their favorite movies and TV shows on their preferred provider (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime) using the smart TVs in the unit. With fast and reliable fiber optic WIFI, guests can stream on multiple devices. Cable TV is not available in any units at Cascade Village.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

We were a party of 7 staying 9 nights. Cascade village is an amazing establishment. It is so close to hiking and outdoor activities but also close enough to Durango. The condo was the perfect size for us. We would be out all day and come back to prepare dinner and hang out in the evenings. My only complaint was the condo was not as clean as it could have been. It was VERY dusty. And I'm not sure if the bathrooms were cleaned properly before our arrival (used bars of soap were left in the showers and trash as well). I had to take time as soon as we got in to clean and make sure everything was clean to use. The dishes were dirty in the cupboards and I had to wash those as well.

We had a very nice experience at the Cascade village this weekend.It was a cozy place to stay for our group of 7.I loved the underground parking especially for as much snow that fell.They had storage rooms for our equipment and the Apartment was fully stocked with everything we needed.The best part was we were only a few minutes from the slopes.Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

Pros - Very short drive to Purgatory, ski rental shop on property, covered parking, well equipped kitchen, generally cozy.Cons - Gear & luggage haul up stairs is a workout, all beds could use soft mattress toppers, couch "bed" is not really usable, master shower is tiny but usableOverall, it was good for our large group, but with more comfy beds it would be great.

Finding the condo and checking in were very simple and turnkey. Amenities were as described, the place was clean except for some lingering smells, to the point that we had to leave the windows open and sliding door open with the screen closed even when it was cold. Unfortunately, the towels, linens, blankets, and bedding all smelled musty and moldy, likely a result of the rule to start a load of laundry before departing the condo. The group resolved to spend little time in the condo and purchase towels so as not to smell like the old towels and bedding after showering. The place is well appointed for the price otherwise and can fit a decent amount of people if needed. Just please make it smell better.
