Stay cool—and perfectly cozy—at 9,000 feet in this spacious 1,910‑sq‑ft townhouse at Cascade Village. Marmot Meadows Retreat (#50 in the Kendall Building at Cascade) offers 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, making it an ideal mountain escape for families and groups. Enjoy a well‑stocked kitchen, a warm wood‑burning fireplace (with firewood provided), a private deck with beautiful mountain views, and convenient perks like two parking spaces in the garage, an in‑unit washer and dryer, a game table, and an upstairs bonus area with a full‑size sleeper sofa.
Families will feel right at home with thoughtful kid‑friendly touches including baby gates, a pack‑n‑play, booster chair, toddler potty seats, step stools, and children’s dinnerware. A generous collection of board games and books ensures fun for all ages, making Marmot Meadows Retreat a comfortable, inviting home base for your next mountain adventure.

There are 2 full bathrooms and one 3/4 bath.
The soaker tub in the master bathroom does not have functioning jets.
There is not a grill on the deck.
LOCATION AND AMENITIES: Cascade Village has amazing views of the Needles Mountains, and is less than 2 miles north of Purgatory Ski Resort, 26 miles north of downtown Durango, and 25 miles south of Silverton. Free on-site amenities at Cascade include an indoor heated pool, sauna, outdoor/indoor hot tubs, pool table and game room, outdoor tennis court, ski rental shop (with discounts). It is also near the Nordic Center for cross-country skiing, and near numerous hiking trails, fishing creeks and jeeps trails. Many guests stay here to visit Purgatory Ski Resort, which offers a variety of restaurants, winter and summer activities, and festivals/events.
SKI SHUTTLE: Purgatory offers a complimentary ski shuttle to our Cascade rental guests on a set schedule 1-2 times in the AM and PM during the ski season, on a first come first serve basis. Details will be provided in your rental instructions.
WIFI / TV: All of the Cascade Village units are equipped with reliable Fiber Optic internet service with an average internet speed of up to 50 Mbps and guests can stream their favorite movies and TV shows on their preferred provider (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime) using the smart TVs in the unit. With fast and reliable fiber optic WIFI, guests can stream on multiple devices. Cable TV is not available in any units at Cascade Village.
NO PETS/ NO TRAILERS: Due to HOA rules, the condo (and all condos in the building) is not pet friendly. Please do not bring your pets/emotional support animals. Also, trailers are not allowed.
COOLING: Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our rental. It was well stocked and very comfortable. We enjoyed the variety of board games that were provided, and loved that each area had its own thermostat. The hot tub was a much needed indulgence at the end of our ski day. A few things to note: the coffee pot doesn’t stop pouring when the carafe is pulled and you are guaranteed to have grounds in your coffee cup, the upstairs master sliding door does not latch, if you are with a large group you need to strategize your showers for hot water, the sauna did not work in the ladies’ dressing room, and the company that manages the property dragged their feet when asked to enter the unit 40 minutes prior. I got the run around about house keeping and inspection while I was physically looking at the unit. And I didn’t get the promised call back. I finally called again and was hesitantly let in five minutes early. With that said, just don’t expect an early arrival. Regardless, the unit was a lovely unit, and I would recommend to others. Also, we were able to ship my daughter’s skis to the front desk without any problems prior to arrival.

Easy access to both Silverton and Durango and the surrounding mountains. Top choice puzzles, games, and books. Plenty of space and natural light, and a well-equipped kitchen. Check-in and checkout were simple. We had a great time staying!

This place was great! Check in was super easy. The kitchen seemed fully stocked, but we only used the microwave. It makes bags of popcorn perfectly! There were plenty of beds for our family, which was perfect. We enjoyed playing games that were available and watching a movie on the tv. The kids loved the pool and there was a sauna available. If you go when it’s hot, closing the shades around the fireplace helps a lot and there are enough fans to pull cool air in for each bedroom. There’s a binder on the coffee table with information on local trails for hiking.
