Villa Athena is located in Kato Gouves, inside a big olive grove and 10 minutes away from the beach. The property consists of a traditional villa, a stone studio, two apartments and two maisonettes. There are two identical apartments next to each other, which you can rent together if you like. This elegant apartment is 65 sq.m. (700 sq. feet), with a spacious outdoor area and a magnificent garden, full of colors, fragrances and local flora. The combination of mild climate and comfort, together with the surrounding olive grove creates a tranquil and relaxing environment, ideal for families and couples. The apartment has two big rooms. The first one consists of the living room and the kitchen. The living room is spacious and has also a couch that can be turned into a bed for one person. In the living room you can also find comfortable chairs, tables and a fireplace. The kitchen is open, with an oven, stoves, coffee machine and all the necessary amenities and utensils of a modern kitchen. Τhe bathroom is comfortable with a bathtub and a shower. In the next room there is the bedroom, with a big double bed for 2 people. We can also provide an extra folding bed for a fourth person. So, the house can host a total of 4 people. There is also a closet, drawers and a LCD TV. There is also a storage room inside the bedroom where you can find the laundry machine, the ironing board and where you can store your luggage. The outdoors of the property is absolutely amazing. A well preserved garden, with a barbecue facility and a traditional stone-oven to prepare delicious meals. A lot of tables with colorful chairs and big sun umbrellas with sunbeds are there to help you relax under the Cretan sun. All this setting is surrounded by our family's century old olive grove, that gives the property a traditional Cretan touch. After all, Cretan olive oil is considered to be the best extra virgin olive oil in the world. The area is open and spacious, perfect for a family with children, in order for the kids to play and be close to nature's environment. Finally, the view towards the sea, the olive grove and the hills around is relaxing, while a walk towards the sea is 10 minutes away. The parking space of the property can easily fit up to five cars. Yan yana iki evde iki aile olarak 1 hafta konakladık. Evler temiz, düzenli ve yaşam için her türlü olanak mevcut. 3 kişilik bir aile için ideal, ancak kapı önünde yatağa dönüşen kanepeler çok rahat değil. 4. kişi için sıkıntı olabilir. Veranda ve bahçe çok güzel, yeşillikler arasında sessiz ve sakin vakit geçirebilirsiniz. Otopark yeterli. Aynı parsel içerisinde daha büyük ve konforlu evler de bulunuyor. Geniş bir aile iseniz, ev sahibi ile diğer seçenekler için konuşun. Çok yakında denize girebileceğiniz kumsallar mevcut, sabah yürüyüşleri yapabilirsiniz (köpeklere dikkat etmek koşuluyla).
Bu evi düşünüyorsanız mutlaka araç kiralamanız gerekecektir. Konum olarak Iraklion ve havalimanı yaklaşık 15 dakikalık mesafede. Yakında alışveriş yapabileceğiniz marketler, kasap ve eczane bulunuyor. Adanın ortasında yer aldığı için hem doğu hem de batı yönüne günlük seyahatler yapılabiliyor. Ancak Girit ince uzun bir ada olduğu için bu seyahatlerin 3-4 saat sürebileceğini unutmayın. Özellikle kıvrımlı yollar ve trafik size yolda epeyce zaman kaybettirebilir. Daha çok Chania ve Rethimnon bölgelerinde zaman geçirmek isteyenler veya adanın doğusundaki Ag. Nikolas ve Sitia öncelikli tatil planı yapanlar için yol ve trafik sorun olabilir.
Ev sahibi ve sizi karşılayan amcası son derece yardımsever. Amca Yorgo sizi havalimanında karşılıyor, eve kadar eşlik ediyor, etrafı gezdiriyor, alışveriş ve yeme-içme konusunda tavsiyelerde bulunuyor. Çok iyi ve sevimli insanlar, bu anlamda sıkıntı yaşayacağınızı sanmıyorum. Evde misafirler için yerel içkiler ve kuruyemişler hazırlamışlar.
Kısacası, Girit planlarınızda ciddi olarak düşünmenizi önerebileceğim iyi bir seçenek.

We really enjoyed staying at the apartment. It is ideal for people who want to have a vacation t their own pace away from a hotel routine. The spacious apartment is nicely furnished and the kitchen well equipped, the aircondition was much appreciated.. The property offers many places spot to sit and relax, either in or out of the sun. The contact to the owner could not have been better. His uncle picked us up at the airport and took us to a local supermarket for our supplies. It was not at all a problem to have no car. Beach and supermarket are in walking distance as is the bus stops with frequent busses to Heraklion and Agios Nikolaos.

I have stayed with my family for 8 nights in these condos and we had a fantastic time. Condos are really stylish and comforable, feels like home. Spacious (bedroom is bigger than my own at home), super comfort bed and the best of all is the surrounding environment with olive trees all over. We were enjoying spending time at the porch while the kids were sleeping.The location was very convenient for us because it is not in the center of the city so it is quite but also really easy to travel around Crete during the day. We visited beautiful beaches.The owners are really kind, willing to help you with everything we needed and the cost really reasonable. Will definately visit again next summer!
