About this cabin rental
This is one of two gorgeous log cabins listed that we want to share with our guests. 1000 square feet of hand crafted architecture, interior and exterior native logs with vaulted ceilings. Floor plan includes large windows, lovely Mohawk floating flooring and a covered deck overseeing El Migre Mountain with a shared secluded pond. The living area is an open floor plan including a wood stove. The kitchen features a great wooden breakfast bar, easily able to host a family event or enjoy vacation with your family for the holiday seasons. This cozy cabin invites you to two bedrooms and one bathroom. The master suite has a queen bed the second bedroom sleeps two with two single beds. Bathroom is modernized with a flare of western style log walls with a shower and sink. You will find the washer and dryer tucked away on the south wall. Deck is accompanied with a gas grill, outdoor furniture, and your own fire pit in front of the pond. At the Southeast side of the pond you will find the trail head to a hike up the mountain. Breathtaking views every which way you look. Wi-Fi internet for and basic cookware included. This log home is great for families, business travelers, couples and family reunions, hunters, book writers and plenty more. Forest Service land surrounds the Ranch property. The surrounding area is filled with great attractions from Ski Taos, Red River Ski Area, art museums, canoeing, fishing, horseback trail rides, hunting, festivals, mining, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, bicycling and much, much more. Your outdoor experience awaits.

Was there for an elk hunt, cabin was very clean and relaxing. Easy access from cabin to mountains. Had a great time.

Cabin had comfortable sectional and bed. Kitchen and appliances were super nice. Cabin was clean and views were amazing this time of year. Lori, host, was accessible and helpful when we had a question. We have plans to return next year.

Lori, the host, could not have been more friendly, helpful, and accommodating! She is truly a kind and helpful person.This place was ideal. We are 3 old friends who were interested in riding ATVs around the local trails. We were able to ride from the cabin. Everything inside worked, and we had no problems. The place was very comfortable and relaxing. As others have said, the bathroom is small, but hey, get in and out. The shower had plenty of water pressure and an ample supply of hot water....and the water is very hot. That makes it nice for washing dishes - you are able to sanitize everything for the next guests.The washer and dryer worked well. Be sure to take your trash out to the dumpster. The front porch is a nice and relaxing spot. We brought our own camp chairs, which made it very comfortable. They do have a picnic table on the porch if you do not have camp chairs.The pond is stocked with trout and is very relaxing to watch or fish.This is top of our list when we return.

The cabin itself was as described. It had all necessities for your stay. The property could use some maintenance but the views were great. But if you are looking for a serene, relaxing experience, this is not it. Starting at check in there was alot of noise from truck and utility vehicles driving around the property. The second day of our stay, the noise only increased. There was a party on the property the second day, even though the property listing states no parties or events unless both properties are rented. There was car and people traffic everywhere. They also parked in our spot for our cabin. Guests of the party were allowed on the porch of our cabin.This property does not have air conditioning so we would try to leave the door open for a breeze but between the noise of the party guests and the owners dog coming in and hiding under the beds, we weren't able to do that. We ended up renting a room in Red River for the second night of our stay.
