The open plan living area is warmed by a roaring wood-burner and boasts an en suite bedroom, which is home to a double bed and separated from the living space by open paneling.

Exposed granite walls, slate and solid oak floors and a small but well-equipped kitchen area, with a two ring gas hob and mini oven, complete the cozy charm and character of this converted stable. Even though this is a small property, it contains everything that you need for your stay. It was a little chilly when we were there so we lit the wood burner, which was very cosy. We made use of the smart TV and we enjoyed sitting out in the pretty garden.Mark was very welcoming when we arrived and provided us with plenty of local information. Margaret also made us some delicious scones for our arrival which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Could not be happier with our stay at “Smitty’s Stables”.
The place was clean, shower “huge” and bed comfy. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful …. I can’t remember seeing so many bright stars in the sky at night - breath-taking.
Mark was so pleasant and helpful… even stocked the kitchen with milk, tea and coffee for us….. much needed after the drive from London. I strongly recommend that you stay here!!!
