About this house rental

This house has great spaces throughout and has maintained all of its original charm. Built in 1907, this home was once the residence of Washington State's 7th governor. The home has a huge wraparound porch and over 700 square feet of deck space. Original windows and doors throughout that fill the house with light and fresh air. The basement is beautifully refinished and includes a guest room and private bathroom with a walk-in steam room shower. The basement also includes a home office, media room with a gas fireplace and a surround sound home theater.

The main floor has a large walk in entrance with center stairwell, a gourmet kitchen, large dining room and a beautiful living room with wood burning fireplace.

The upstairs has 4 bedrooms, one with a king size bed, two with full size beds and one with a bunk bed.

House is beautiful and well maintained. Large and comfortable for our family vacation. The location is perfect - quick walk to downtown Queen Anne for groceries, restaurants, a few shops and a great farmers market (Thursdays). A 15 minute drive to the space needle area and 25 minutes to Pike Place Market/aquarium area. We loved every second of our stay here!

We stayed here for a weekend wedding. So conveniently located and the house is great. The construction noise was minimal. Only one bathroom for the four bedrooms upstairs but we learned to share. The host is very responsive. I highly recommend it.

We decided last min to go to Seattle for Thanksgiving and this house was absolutely incredible for a thanksgiving feast with family. The house was even better then the picture showed. Steve was fantastic to work with and answered any questions we had very quickly. The view from the master bedroom is Beautiful! The location is fantastic with lots or restaurants, shops, Trader Joe’s and parks very close. We would absolutely stay at this location again!

The house is beautiful with space for everyone. We loved the wrap around front deck, large dining table and open kitchen, multiple bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Visits took place in the living room, downstairs den and outside. We could not have asked for a better set-up for our team to close their club volleyball season. Trader Joe’s was a 2 minute walk away which made everyone very happy. Many thanks to Steve for making our weekend so positive.

My family and I have rented Steve's beautiful home several times and will do so again in the future. The house is in the ideal location, but more than that, the house itself truly feels like you've come home. It's a huge house but still feels cozy. It's well equipped and has great personal touches throughout. This trip was a girl's trip, but the house is perfect for families, friends, etc. I've never met Steve in person but I will say he's the best host I've ever interacted with. He's proactive with information and quick to reply to messages. If you're thinking of booking this house, stop thinking and just book it... You won't be sorry.

Delightful property. Even better than description. Location is awesome - most centrally located in Queen Anne with all the shops close by. We had dinner in a couple of nights and kitchen was perfect. And we were able to walk downtown and to Fremont - both very downhill. Great trip - house made it even better.

Eight college friends stayed at this home for our annual reunion and loved exploring the Queen Anne neighborhood - gorgeous older homes! - and it’s restaurants and shops. We walked to Kerry Park, Pike Place Market, the Seattle Center (Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum) and the ferry terminal for a day trip to Bainbridge Island. Although be forewarned, the walk home includes a steep uphill stretch of about 3 blocks. The home is lovely, comfortable and well equipped, highly recommend!

Wonderful house, excellent communication with our host Steve (who was kind enough to let me ship a few items to the house to cut down on packing), and a perfect location. A short block to restaurants, grocery stores, and shops on Queen Anne, and very close to a nearby playground for the kids. Easy parking in front of the house. Steve even had a pack and play available for my youngest to use (thank you!). The house was clean, beautiful, well-equipped, and with character. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay in this beautiful home. Steve was a great host who was quick to communicate when we had any questions. The house is quaint and charming just like Queen Anne itself. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well appointed. We all loved waking up and reading books in the cozy living room or on the front deck. The location was excellent-one block from Queen Anne Ave with all it's shops and restaurants. If you are looking for a place to rent in Queen Anne look no further. This is one of those houses that is too nice to believe. To start, the house is four bedrooms (master with a king, two bedrooms with queen/double, and one bedroom with a bunk beds) and one bathroom upstairs. The ground floor has a 3/4 bathroom (shower, but no tub), and the basement has a fifth bedroom and an additional bathroom with steam room.The house is a lovely 1920's house with a massive wrap around porch that is only one block from the main commercial district in the Queen Anne neighborhood. Because of the feel of the neighborhood (very quiet) and the bushes around the porch, being one block away from the main drag is amazing! In 5 minutes, we could walk to three grocery stores, a drug store, several restaurants, two gyms, and a game store (the real gem of Queen Anne). But, back in our house it felt like we were in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Queen Anne is also a great location. We could walk to the museum district/arts center (though, its a little bit of a walk back up the hill) and Union Lake. It was an easy drive to Discovery Park and downtown (less than 10 minutes). And even Bellevue was only 15-20 minutes (it was where we caught the fourth of July fireworks). And the views from Queen Anne are jaw dropping. In short, where will we stay when we come back to Seattle? The same house.
