Disappointing

Lovely quiet location Good parking Short walk into town

I asked three times for the key box code ahead of our arrival, and got no response. We arrived at the property unable to get in, and had to phone for the code whilst we waited outside, after a long journey. There was no hot water at the property. No instructions on how to activate it. I tried phoning the ‘concierge’ but got no reply. Eventually I found that the hot water circuit had been disabled to the master fuse box, which necessitated me balancing on a chair to reach it and activate it. An elderly person would not have been able to reach it. The fridge had not even been switched on for our arrival so we had nowhere cold to put the food we had purchased The property description stated bicycles were available. No bicycles were to be found, and again the ‘concierge’ was not contactable. There were two small bottles of shampoo in the bathroom. One was half empty, clearly having been used by a previous occupant. To summarise, we felt the property was nor correctly prepared for us, despite being one of the most expensive in the area, and we would definitely not return. We have used booking. Com many many times in the past and this was by far our worst experience.

Great area but very disappointed with the accommodation.

The garden and location.

The kitchen cleanliness was very unacceptable. The cupboards were dirty and so we didn’t unpack any of our supplies into them. I had to clean the crockery as it had remnants of the previous guests food on it. I also cleaned all of the cutlery and also the cutlery tray as it was full of dirt and crumbs. The pans were filthy and so after arriving late in the evening we couldn’t feed our young children due to the state of them. Also the grill/oven was filthy and covered in food and grease. In the children’s bedroom one bed had no pillowcase supplied at all and the other bed had foreign material in it. The major problem in the bathroom was the fact that the shower wouldn’t drain due to it being clogged up and so we ended up standing in dirty water. Yak. We reported this early on in the first morning but didn’t even receive a reply back to advise us what to do. We then tried to sort the problem ourselves by using cleaning products which we purchased. We were very concerned our young children were subject to such a filthy environment. We also were very concerned that the property appeared to have had no fire extinguishers or fire blankets. We also reported this but received no reply. Overall not a pleasant experience. Unfortunately.

location très pratique, dogfriendly et bien équipée

Nous sommes tout à fait d'accord avec les différents avis donnés sur "Le Tilburg". C'était parfait! Propre, un magnifique jardin très bien entretenu. Notre chien a adoré le grand espace du jardin. Nous avons tout à disposition pour bien commencer notre séjour. Idéale quand on arrive tard, les propriétaires nous met à disposition les éléments de première nécessité gracieusement pour le premier petit déjeuner. Il ne reste qu'à aller chercher à la boulangerie des baguettes et des viennoiseries qui se situe à 5 minutes à pied du gîte.

Ein toller Urlaub in einer schönen Unterkunft.

Es ist ein tolles Ferienhaus mit allem was man braucht. An Ausstattung fehlte es uns persönlich an nichts. Das Häuschen liegt zwar an einer Straße, aber diese ist nicht stark befahren und durch die dichte Hecke, merkt man fast nichts davon. Das Grundstück ist großzügig und komplett eingezäunt, so das wir unseren Hund problemlos laufen lassen konnten. Man ist in wenigen Gehminuten direkt am Meer und im Ortskern. Auch gibt es nicht weit entfernt einen größeren Supermarkt und einen Warenautomaten in denen verschiedene Bauern ihre Erzeugnisse (Gemüse, Obst, Käse, Austern usw.) anbieten. Die Gastgeber sind wirklich nett und hilfsbereit und jederzeit erreichbar.
